when we win, who would your rather play Michigan St or Bama and why?

If OU beats Clemson, I do not have a choice between Alabama or Michigan State.....but I do believe Alabama will beat Michigan State.
I would rather play Michigan State, but like you they will probably get beat. I know o'henry will be tough to stop

I cannot explain it but since we beat baylor I have not been worried about a game since. I was confident OU would win out at that point and I am also confident OU will win out now. Like I said, I cannot explain it but I am not worried about the playoffs, not because of a cocky attitude or anything but just a feeling I have that OU will win it all. It just has that feel about it thats hard to explain. Gut feeling I guess one might call it.
Yep, I have the same vibe.
Like when Ms Bob Stoops ask coach how he felt right before OU played Florida State in 2000, he said something like he felt good about their chances.
She assured him it was their destiny.
I want Alabama. I think we can beat them. I think Clemson is going to be the hardest game. Alabama is 1 dimensional...if you can take out Henry and score a few points then it's very doable.

I know a lot of people are not giving Mich St much of a chance vs Bama but it reminds me when OU was set to play Bama in the Sugar Bowl, nobody but a few thought we could win that game, I thought we would lose myself. I have only seen Mich St play once and the same with Clemson. I have seen bama play 3 or 4 times and I don't think they are as good a team as we faced in the Sugar Bowl. I am just ready the wait is killing me!
I agree, I've watched them play several times as well and I think they are the weakest team in the playoffs personally. Michigan State has tremendous heart and have played in big games. Clemson has multiple weapons and a pretty decent defense. Alabama has often looked sluggish and without Henry, they are entirely beatable. They remind me of LSU with Fournette, the entire game plan pretty much relies on one person offensively.

Bama. So that Saban doesn't have the excuse that they didn't have anything to play for this time.

Bama, went home for an Early Family Christmas couple of weeks ago and not one person brought up OU being in the playoffs and when I brought it up they ignored me, they are all sec fans I should add. Would love to beat an sec team to win it all.
Ditto that. It would be the best Christmas present ever. I bet they "get up" for that game. No excuses.

Exactly, kinda rubbed me the wrong way for sure but its just as well they ignored it because if they said anything it would have been along the lines like, well OU plays in a weak conference, OU did not have to play a CCG, OU got lucky and got in yada yada yada.

When we win or if Alabama loses, send them a grievance card, and OU t-shirts. I feel for you, man you have a high tolerance of mental pain.
Bama. Just so that we can beat them again and shut up their fans who always talk about "payback" and "revenge" whenever they see me in my OU gear, which is all the time. Besides, I think MSU's QB is better than Bama's, although Bama's running game is better than MSU's. I think both defenses are equal, so I'd rather go against the Tide than the Spartans.

We've done pretty well against SEC teams lately. It's time to start working on the Big10. Their two top teams most recently have been tOSU & MichSt. So I want MichSt and then beat tOSU next Sept.
Easy answer for me. I want to play the Tide. Why? Because of who I am and I know we can win. Always great to watch these great programs go at it and Bob has dominated Bama. My Bama cousins hate me. Haha. Not really, but they don't talk to me much after losing to the Sooners.
For some uneducated reason I think we match up better against Alabama. Although Bama is on a much higher plain I think Bama is more one dimensional than MSU. If we stop their run game then we have shut them down...not the same with MSU. If we run a fast paced Offense then we can neutralize Bama's D. We have too many weapons for Bama's D. Remember they were rated #1 in just about all defensive categories when we beat them in the Sugar Bowl.
It's funny Alabama always has the BEST at everything, it st be attached to their name.

I am reminded of the old Switzer quote about how he'd rather play Oregon, back when Oregon had a hard time staying within 45 of the Sooners.
I'm not sure if Bama is better than Michigan State, but it sure appears that way. I know they're more talented, and not just a little. So I'd rather play Michigan State.
Not making any assumptions, but I'd rather beat Michigan State than lose to Bama. And I think we have a better chance of beating the Spartans. Neither is a gimmee. But if the percentage goes up against the green guys, then I'm for that.

Now, we're starting out against a pretty salty bunch in Clemson. Luck, or lack therein of the draw. OU will have to play perfect to win that one.
Playing Sparty would present a considerably easier task than playing the freakin' Heisman winner and Bama.
Besides, they've been there, done that a lot lately. (seasoned)

Yeah, one of my cousins back in Alabama sent my brother and me Bama caps just before the OU-Alabama Sugar Bowl we won. I've never worn it until our Labor Day cookout and decided to take a selfie, and texted him a rather crude family message. He knows my handle and challenged me to change my avatar. The Bama part of my handle is in honor of my mom, who we could never convert to OU even though she lived in Oklahoma the last 53 years of her life. A true fan like that deserves my respect so that's the story of my handle. The cousins said I have to be crazy using that handle on a Oklahoma board with the avatar. I just tell him "You don't know Oklahoma folks".
