Any long time fans of the sport? (Or recent?) do you play? Or do you like to watch the Slams? (Aussie, French, Wimbledon, U.S. Open)

Played for 22 years. Semi pro circuit. My knees won't let me play anymore.

Been to all the Slams as a visitor though

Willy now I'm jealous! Always wanted to attend Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. What were your thoughts on both places? (Well all four for that matter)

I've never played on grass. Clay a little bit and then majority hard court. The Clay is just different, I can see why some of the greats either never won the French (Sampras) or only won it once( Federer) the surface was never a problem for Graf though. Or Serena.

Are you still able to play just for fun? It's definitely hard on the body over the long haul depending on how much you play.

Where's all the tennis players? They're getting pedicures with Buffy and Tad, duh.

You know how I know that guy is British? The white balls.

What's that thing on the ground next to his racket, though?

Man, I actually thought the prestige of Wimbledon was my favorite. Something about the grass courts. The Garros is nice too, but it just doesn't have the appeal that Wimbledon has. The Australian was prolly my funnest just because of the trip itself. And NY, well. it's my 4th fave.

Oh, I can't play anymore. Not unless I buy some loratabs from college kids. Definitely contributed my aches and pains. Plus that and busting cement rock for 10 years! lol

I knew willy would like the grass courts best. 10-1 says he found a way to steal some of that Wimbledon grass and then rolled it into a joint. The only question is what did he lace it with before blazing?

My guess is he snuck on after a women's match and got some grass with Maria Sharapova's *** sweat on it.

Yea I think if I could only pick one to ever get to see in person (which hopefully won't be the case, I plan to travel travel more in the next few years.) I would go with Wimbledon as the one to see. Just something kind of magical about it with all of its History.

Who are your top 3 greats all time men's and women's?

Neue- for sure you have to see it. When i blew my left knee out from planting the wrong way in '92, i left the circuit. That next year i was at Wimbledon on crutches with my grandfather who just had open heart surgery. That was the last event we did together.

Top 3 both genders? Wow that's tough. I'd have to think about that one. I held one of Arthur Ashe's racket in '89

Don't forget to tell the Capriati story, Willy. What a scandal. Who knew she was such a freak?

Yeah '88 was crazy. So here this young girl was 14 or 15 and a teenage superstar. Nick Bollettieri was housing us in Florida. So Capriati is bitching about her dad Stefano and starts pulling out a joint. This was pre heroin days. So she takes this joint out and sticks it in her snatch and lights it!!! She then starts to rub her tennis racket handle on her cooch WHILE her ****** was hitting that joint. You wouldn't believe if i hadn't seen it

That's all I'm saying......

Holy s! Wow!

She garnered so much attention in mid 1990 when she turned pro. If you want to see an absolute slug fest check out the 91 US Open semi-final between her and Monica Seles. Three sets of blistering shots!

Interesting with Capriati's story, all that hype, eventually bottomed out, left the sport and got in trouble. Then got her **** together and rose from the ashes to win three Grand Slams between 2001 and 2002. (Two Aussie, one French)

People have no idea what a person is like until you see how they are behind closed doors. She had a dead look in her eyes.

Kid had serious problems, I blame her dad really.

Reading "Open" by Andre Agassi right now. It's a heck of a book. Dude hated tennis his whole life.

Great book! I read it in 2016. Another similar situation of a player that falls, bottoms out, gets counted out and then rises again.

All this wild tennis talk makes me realize my uncle was right when he tried to get me to give up Frolf for Tennis. Frolf pro's never had very good groupies.
