Where does this defense rank in PSU history?

PSU has had some bad offenses but I can't remember a defense that struggled this much.

Another 3rd & long where the opposing QB takes off up the middle.

CBs burned badly time after time. Safeties looked confused about their assignments.

I saw an X post, PSU D gave up like 153 yds for the season . It was 1947 over 9 games. With Covid and all maybe these guys have some eligibility left .

The poor tackling and lack of QB pressure was expected but letting the best WRs in the country get behind us repeatedly was inexcusable. I guess not having functional LBs just puts too much stress on the other areas of our defense.

Why stop at the defense? This is the worst Penn State team I have ever seen. That includes the offense, defense, coordinators, and head coach responsible for this mess Franklin.

I for one underestimated just how much Carter and Warren carried this team on their backs. It was all right in front of me but felt like others would improve and the QB/WR play would get better. Also felt that Knowles was an upgrade over Allen.

It’s one of the worst I’ve ever seen at PSU.
DL especially DT are bad and get blown off the ball.
I keep being told LBrs don’t matter in today’s defense.

They lost 3k yards of offense when Warren and Beau left. They made up for it with about
400 yards this year.
