Here we are, a week away form the Home opener.

Usually there would be multiple threads on this board discussing the team,the players, the next game, the up coming season, the new coaches, . . .

Where is everyone?

The lets get it started thread usually starts the day of and sometimes the day before. It's always there. You want a prediction thread start one. Instead of complaining get to posting

Will only post score predictions in official score prediction threads, for the record.

I'm just busy with work and the little one and ready to see this team on Saturday. I'd like to be able to say what I'm looking forward to, but our allsome beat writer hasn't given us much to work with on new players to look for. But we did get a 12th article on coach's background, which is good because I forgot what the other 11 said.

I'd love to get excited. Where is the hype video? Where are articles about new players, starters, depth chart even? I shouldn't have to pay to see a depth chart. It was last updated over a year ago. Is President red shirted? Are we still a HUNH offense? All shotgun? Does dane still throw a rocket on a 5 yard curl? Has he developed touch at all? Is he better at reading defenses? I know very little about our team.

I'm 100% with you. I'd start a thread but I know nothing because I haven't heard anything.

I have no idea about our defense, the TW had a couple of stories about position players, one an injured player from a year ago, and that's been pretty much it. I know the coach well, wore a cowboy hat a bunch down in Texas.

That is a good point on defense, are we still a 4-3 base defense? From the depth chart I assume so, but almost no articles at all (except here on Rivals) on the defense except Jeremy Brady switching positions.

Bill's an alumni and was always a big proponent of TU. I will always remember how heart broken be looked in the press conferences after the bad losses in the last two years. He always wanted the best for TU, but he just wasn't cut out for it. Remember, we left him, he never left us.

As far as our new defense goes, of course it's 4-3. Two DT's, 3 LB's. We know it will be an attacking / bend-but-don't-break style trying to force a lot of turnovers and clog the field as they back up toward the goal line. Biggest question mark on the starting D might be the Star LB spot with Linscott since he's moving from safety to outside LB. Hopefully he has the speed and size to match up with both WR's and TE's.

The new format is strange and scary (not a complaint, just sayin'). Last few seasons were a massive disappointed. Summer is a lull and school just started.

Add to that - we have no idea if we should be excited or scared. So we sit nervously waiting to see what happens.

The UH tv commercial down here is entertaining. It's Super WACtion-esque quality.
