Thank god Pratt and company pulled the rug out from under Barnhart with calipari or we'd have another dud there too.
Most people don't realize, Barnhart isn't even in charge of basketball anymore. Think about that for a moment.

Mitch will be here for a LONG LONG LONG time to come unless our fans wake up and smell the coffee (which is doubtful). As long as Calipari is here and Mitch does a good job with the public relations spin machine in other sports, he'll continue to have our loyal fans eating out of the palm of his hands while he counts his money in the basement of his mansion.
He didn't want calipari, mike Pratt and others had to force the hire. That came from the horses mouth. He's no longer the athletic director of basketball. I can't believe so many miss this. Cal hates Mitch Barnhart. Mitch was worried cal would wreck the program and didn't want anything to do with it.
This is all Barnhart cares about. PC image, Nike contracts and science labs.

I also 100% believe he was forced into firing Joker. After the Vandy game where like 10 people showed up he said "anyone who has something against Joker being our football coach obviously has an agenda".....the next day he fired Joker.....
