He was a prolific poster at TOS. Hope he migrates here and starts doing his thing. I'm missing his posts too!

He ripped Tom and Blair quite a bit after they left to come to On3...imagine his whining to them will be tolerated even less now. He may not be welcome at all, who knows.

And then lied over and over again that free forums here would no longer be free, even when I posted that nothing would change.
Had no idea he was ripping us but not surprised. I doubt he will have the stones to show up here. Going to be quite a lifestyle change to not having to bump his own threads all day long to keep them at the top of the page.
I little lean a little right and I still thought Fran was way more annoying than Chis.
The classic was when he'd copy posts from other threads (on the same topic) and post them in his thread. If he doesn't come over he'll have to find another board to post on because his issue (and it seems like he really has an issue) won't allow him to stop posting. Those threads were like children to him.

It probably depends on your interaction with both of them. I've never had Chris go on the attack because I posted something in another thread. Chris has his viewpoints that I may or may not agree with, while Fran is/was a loose cannon.
Little more than a touch and it seemed like there was more than one 'tism. Which I don't care, we all have issues, but his became aggressive at times.
Good grief! Whatever feuds & gripes some of you had with him, he posted more interesting & informative BKB info & invested more time researching BKB-related news than nearly all other posters combined. Eat the fish & spit out the bones those of you who are so triggered by him. He added much great content to the forum.
Relax and enough of the "triggered" BS. He's an a$$ and even Tom and crew had a problem with him. All he did was post **** from other sources. I can easily follow his sources on other social media and get the same results. I personally don't need Fran to hold my hand for finding information. And the garbage that came with Fran kept me from even reading the BB and FB boards. I have a feeling that Fran was the cause of other posters leaving the boards. Prior to Fran there used to be a lot of activity.

This is exactly the problem with the world today. Idiots are re-posting **** and others (like TopHawkeye) think they're experts doing research.
He'd be fine if he was the FB and BB version of Ciggaretteman. However besides being a copy and paste hero he was consistently condescending and rude. And god forbid you start a thread similar to his, even if you posted it before him.
I never had an issue with him until he started flat out lying about us making this forum entirely pay/subscription based. When you lie about how I run this business, then I'm going to have a problem with it especially since I said on here, the wrestling forum and the OT board that it wasn't happening. Yet he continue to say well, I don't know....this says that and so on.

On many occasions Legend told others on Iowa Rivals to kill themselves. Most of those posts eventually got deleted, but not all of them. Not sure why anyone would take anything he posted seriously.
And speaking of your “lied over and over again” accusation, I have receipts from before Iowa Rivals went down (because I figured this BS was going to happen and, unfortunately, I was right).
@Pinehawk was a mod on Iowa Rivals and he obviously was seeing what others were posting about the transition from Rivals to On3. As you (and everyone else) will read, he completely disagrees with your assessment. And personally, I find it very interesting, ironic & disappointing that you accuse me (or anyone else, for that matter) of spreading lies, bad information and nonsense.
Here’s a look at the timeline for the last 2 months & the facts (thank God for copy & paste). NO ONE was spreading lies or bad information; instead, as shown in just a FEW of the examples that follow, people were posting about what they were experiencing.
April 30, 2025: On3 announced they had purchased Rivals.
37 days passed, where over those 37 days MULTIPLE threads and MANY posts were made by MANY POSTERS on Iowa Rivals in the Football, MBB, WBB, Wrestling and Off Topic forums, where people were posting about their confusion and that, among other things, when they tried to post on On3, a message popped up stating that it required a subscription.
You clearly were on Iowa Rivals, reading these posts (more on that follows). Why not nip those questions, the confusion and the frustrations in the bud, immediately?
Instead, after those 37 days of confusion passed, on June 6, 2025: I see that you wrote a message in the On3 wrestling forum, stating that posting will be free on July 1 and you asked people on On3 to post this information on the Iowa Rivals Wrestling forum. Well, guess what? That news did eventually get posted/buried in a thread by someone on the wrestling forum, but how many people saw that post? After all, the wrestling forum is not nearly as popular as the other forums. And why not just post that information yourself, in a new thread?
Meanwhile, on June 7, 2025: Shannon Terry, the founder/CEO of Rivals and On3, was asked on X (Twitter) if current NON-SUBSCRIBERS on Iowa Rivals would have to subscribe on July 1 in order to be able to post on all of the Iowa forums. He replied with this, which didn’t help clear up any confusion: ALL posting on On3 requires a membership. So, slight change there.
June 7, 2025: Shannon Terry, the founder/CEO of Rivals and On3, was then asked this follow up question on X (Twitter): When you say posting requires a membership, you mean you must have the $120/year subscription, correct? He liked that question/reply, which, again, didn’t help to clear things up; he, instead, clearly made it sound like you had to subscribe in order to post.
So, are you now going to accuse Shannon Terry of spreading bad information and spreading nonsense like you did me?
And I am sure you will go after the posters that follow, because check out the “bad information” that they posted:
June 8, 2025: @GunnerHawk started a thread titled “Final Farewell to Rivals.” He then posted this: As time goes by, things change. Rivals will be taken down and with it, probably the last free Hawk forum. It took until June 12 before someone chimed in, saying the free forums would continue on July 1. Another poster, however, warned everyone with this message: It [On3] DOES prompt you to buy it when you hop on there if you are NOT logged in. If you log in it lets you view it just fine. I then replied with this (and I quote):
It's just too bad it was not all spelled out sooner, to avoid all of the confusion.
* As you know, many people posted on here (in this forum & in others) that it appeared you needed to subscribe right now to post (they simply needed to log in).
* Shannon Terry, the CEO of Rivals & On3, posted on Twitter, making it sound like all posting on On3 required a subscription. That didn't help things.
* I also wrote this in other threads: “from what I can tell, it will be up to Kakert if that (posting for free) remains the case on July 1st.” And I ended up being right; it is up to him.
The guessing by many and the confusion is over. Kakert has now cleared up all of the above.
Does that sound like I was posting lies or that I was ripping you, Tom???
June 11, 2025: @Pinehawk, one of the Iowa Rivals moderators, wrote this in ONE of the threads where people were voicing their confusion and frustrations: I don’t think there was a misinformation campaign, or spreading false rumors as Tom suggests. I think people weren’t sure, because it hasn’t been very clear. And, when you sign up, it DOES APPEAR TO BE A PAY SITE.
June 29, 2025: @gohawks50 posted this regarding the supposed rumors and misinformation campaign: The subscriber only rumor is not due to a personal issue with TK. If you go to the OT forum without being logged in and click on a topic you get a message that says, "This is premium content. Please subscribe to view." Then this pops up. He then posted a screen shot from HawkeyeReport/On3 that said “$1 for the first week then billed annually at $119.99. Cancel anytime.” He then wote this: If you want to see what others see when trying to view a thread on the OT board, log out and then click on a topic. This isn't about a personal issue with anyone at On3, it's about the experience for posters without an On3 login. I have an old account and I can read when I login. I'm just saying that the experience for people without an account makes it seem like a subscribers only board.
June 30, 2025: @gohawks50 posted a tweet from Shannon Terry (the Rivals/On3 CEO) that contained a spreadsheet where Shannon Terry had Iowa listed under “1 subscription gets full access.” Gohawks50 then wrote this regarding that tweet & spreadsheet: I assume the free boards are still available to anyone, but this is kind of confusing. @Formerly Rockymtnole then replies to Gohawks with this: It is unbelievable how bad these guys are at communicating.
June 30, 2025: @brotherhawkeye wrote this on the Football forum: I took a peak over there and didn't find anything resembling a free board. Under the Forums tab, I saw Hawkeye Lounge and then a Football Forum, etc. Each one I opened, it provided that it was premium content, and I needed to subscribe. If there are free boards, I didn't easily see them.
June 30, 2025: @2D_ wrote this in the “Final Farewell to Rivals” thread: No idea what's going to happen tomorrow and if our accounts are going to be integrated or there's even going to be a free forum.
June 26, 2025: A new thread is started on the On3 Off Topic board titled “A poster on that other site is claiming…” In post #1 he finishes that thought, writing “…there will be a great purge of us migrants soon? What’s this about? Do we have to pay to play?” In post #2 someone replied “Hopefully not.” Hopefully not? So, I guess those 2 posters should have been called out, too, for stirring things up this late in the game, but interesting enough, were not.
So, Tom, several others (@Pinehawk, @gohawks50, @Formerly Rockymtnole, etc) and I think you have it completely wrong when it comes to your “lies,” “rumors” & “misinformation campaign” claims. And to be fair, it is clear you had been reading what others had been posting on Iowa Rivals since the April 30 announcement. That is why I tagged you in 2 posts on Iowa Rivals, because I knew you would see them. On Iowa Rivals it even said that you were last seen: July 1 at 7:59 AM. So, you would have also seen the MANY POSTERS (not just one) writing about their confusion regarding the transition from Rivals to On3, yet it took you 37 days to finally say something on On3 (but not on Iowa Rivals). And you also would have seen MANY POSTERS posting & discussing their complaints regarding you and your management style.
I hope this clears things up and that you will stop falsely ripping me. No one had an agenda on Iowa Rivals over these last 2 months; they only had questions.

I know this will be a surprise to you, but I have a site to run here and didn't read Rivals until someone brought it to my attention that you were spreading nonsense. You lied. You said it was going to be a pay site on all the forums here. I said that was not going to be the case and was never going to be the case. Yet you kept saying that was not the case. You were wrong. As you also read above, lots of people posted on Iowa Rivals about what they were seeing/ reading /experiencing. It is disappointing that I am being singled out. And for the record, Spooner loves stirring things up, so it is no surprise that he tried to push your buttons.

Hey, I really appreciate reading a lot of information you post about Hawkeye sports, but I would like to make a couple requests:
1. When you start a thread about a particular topic (i.e., a recruit), instead of changing the thread title over and over again, could you just start a new thread? It gets confusing and tedious scouring through pages upon pages of outdated information spanning months or even years just to get to what’s current.
2. Please just let arguments and insults go. There will always be trolls on these free forums, so trying to respond and engage all of them has to be exhausting. I know it’s exhausting for me, and I’m sure others, to come upon threads (i.e., transfer portal news) that get hijacked and turn into a multi-page pissing match about silly and personal nonsense. It’s frustrating. No one who isn’t trolling wants to wade through that.
Again, I appreciate all the Hawkeye content you do provide, but the aforementioned requests would make your threads far more enjoyable to read and navigate through.

No free forums. No one else on Rivals did that. You did. I think you did it intentionally especially since folks tell me you spent time ripping me and Blair after we left Rivals to come to On3.
