Chase might be able to translate his game, but his shooting has to get considerably better.

Nicholson, Barnhizer, Martinelli and Hunger.

Since they're basically all freshmen (experience-wise) would it be too early to start calling them the "Fab Four?" Or do we have to wait until next year's national title?

Okay, I admit it, I have Wildcat Fever and I'm delirious.

MN has the size for it but other than his ability to run North/South quickly as a 7 footer he doesn't offer a lot else...maybe as a backup C but he'd have to improve by leaps and bounds next year. Boo/Audige maaaaybe but it would have to be a team willing to take a chance.

Zach Edey likely won't make it in the NBA. No way Matt comes close.

if Zach Edey won't make it in the NBA,
I'm glad I stopped watching their games years ago.

Maybe its time to take away the three pointer.

He's nowhere near athletic enough. Teams would get him on a switch and eat him alive.

Pretty sure we heard that same forecast about Matt Nicholson.
Just sayin'

You could be right - but to me it just means that the NBA sucks.

Just a completely different game. Lots of threes for sure but also just a hell of a lot better ball handling and athleticism around the rim.

In one of the NBA video games in the mid 90s, SNES, players had signature moves. There was Tim Hardaway’s UTEP Two-Step, obviously the most fun and true to life.

One that was impossible to execute was Patrick Ewing’s, the ‘Bounce Ball Slam’. Ewing couldn’t do it, but I’m pretty sure it could be resurrected, and dominant, as the Nicholbomb.

(These memories might not be correct.)

Edey is the best big in the NCAA, but that doesn’t make him the best NBA prospect. TJD is a much better NBA prospect. I like Filipkowski from Duke as well.
Filipowski is big but he is not a big. Lively probably has more NBA scouts intrigued than Edey and TJD combined.

Lotta love for TJD but this is Big Country
TJD is much more athletic than Edey but can he shoot? I have only seen him a couple of times and his offense was limited to around the rim. If he has any type of 10'-15' game then he should be OK. Purdue uses Edey within 8' of the rim, so I have no idea whether he has any other shooting skills but in college 7'4" is dominant.
