I don't think we are ever going to regularly beat UT or UF. Would like to see us win 2 or 3 out of every 10, but think about how we would feel if ole miss or south carolina started talking about beating us regularly in basketball. We would laugh our asses off. Now think about how much more difficult it is to build the necessary depth in football to beat decent programs vs. Basketball.8-4.
i think the streak will end eventually. but an 8-4 season would presumably help recruiting and help build teams that could regularly beat UT and UF. rather than a fluke 4-8 team beating them one season
those are two different sports for one. for two, that would be like me saying we could beat bama regularly (if you are comparing it to ky bball). florida and tennessee are 8-9 win squads on the regular. we can start beating them every couple years. that is the goal right? we should be able to do it. south carolina did it.I don't think we are ever going to regularly beat UT or UF. South carolina produces far better football talent than us.those are two different sports for one. for two, that would be like me saying we could beat bama regularly (if you are comparing it to ky bball). florida and tennessee are 8-9 win squads on the regular. we can start beating them every couple years. that is the goal right? we should be able to do it. south carolina did it.
ok guy whatever. i mean we have beaten them 3 years in a row.South carolina produces far better football talent than us.

the idea that because our in state talent is going to permanently keep us at the bottom is a fallacy. there are numerous programs who have climbed into the to top 25 and in some cases are currently trying to get into the CFP that produce low in state talent. in one case other schools in our own state. does it make it harder? sure i guess, but the idea that we just can't do it is asinine. He means the state high school programs, not the universities. It's absolutely true...high school football in Kentucky is improving but is easily the weakest in the south. But Kentucky has more talent on its roster than South Carolina right now.
