Thinking about making my own as a hobby, or side gig. Don't know a lot about the process, or materials, and/or costs.
Curious if anybody else does this.
TIA

Anything else OP wants to outsource while he has our attention? Don’t limit it to researching your business ideas.

I know nothing about reloading ammo, but years ago two doctors in my town were doing this and had some kind of accident. Burned down a very expensive home and killed both of them.

You can't find primers anywhere right now. Powder is scarce, but I've not found rifle primers in nearly 2 years.

My brother does it. It doesn't really save him a lot over purchasing bulk ammo........nor does he make a killing off selling. Well, at least with smaller amounts. If you are able to produce very large quantities, it can be beneficial.

The two main benefits are custom loads and having a hobby. The cost savings are minimal unless you have a rare caliber that you are reloading.

If you are a precision rifle shooter reloading will save a decent amount of money and give you better ammo. If you are just loading 9mm it will barely be noticable and if you calculate time into it, it's a loss.
