who determined we needed to bring Trace back as a coach when he does not have any experience? Does this mean Danny O'Brien is headed out? normally you want one position coaching approach at a position level. To have the AD making statements about this has to offend Danny.

Why can’t this be seen as an apprenticeship for Trace?. Maybe there are some intangibles he brings to the room in the meantime? Maybe Trace and Danny have the same coaching approach?? Doesn’t the word Assistant imply not the head guy? Seems like a nothing burger. Pearl clutching at its finest

Below is the most recent roster of coaches. Almost every position has an assigned assistant. Nobody, including McSorley, thinks he's going to show up and tell the main position coach what to do. It's a great foot-in-the-door position CJF gave to someone who he knows and trusts. Trace was an outstanding college QB who spent four years on NFL active rosters. That accounts for something beyond hands-on coaching. Nobody has coaching experience until they do. I fail to see how O'Brien should be offended since all coaches at one time or another have been the new guy who was taking their first step up the coaching ladder.
