We signed one back in '94. Last name was Gray. Can't remember much more. He never played a down.

Don't know if the Johnson kid can play at this level or not but I hope we get him and get the chance to find out.

I sort of posted that as a joke, can't believe any of you guys remember Dinky McKay. When did he play anyway, 1970 or 1972 or so? It had to have been in Stoll Field.

I think there was a running back that came in as a JUCO with him(maybe from the same school somewhere in Miss, Gulf Coast CC maybe) anyone remember him?

Wow...Eric Gray, had totally forgot about him.

And my not so fond fuzzy Glenn Fohr memory is an image of him throwing a pass opposite handed that was intercepted and began our collapse against Alabama in 88

James "Dinky" McKay, that is a blast from the past. If I recall correctly he played in 72 John Ray's last year then got caught up in a cheating/testing scandal where a tutor was taking correspondence classes for him. Remember this was pre-Internet time so there were no online classes. The girl wanted more money didn't get it so she went to the "Kentucky Kernal" with her story. Cost Dinky his eligilability and the FB Academic advisor his job.
