Whoever it is probably isn't on the roster right now. I think we can/will attract someone who can throw the ball pretty well since we have several guys who can catch the ball returning. We will likely have a new OC and O-line coach
Destin Wade or transfer. If it’s Sheron we are in big trouble. This is off topic but where has Keaton Upshaw been the last few weeks. I haven’t seen him the last couple of games.

IMO Wade comes out of spring #1 then competes against a transfer in fall camp.

Sadly with our offense it won't matter. Stoops and company would handcuff Peyton manning or Vince Young.
If he is I hope they trust him to throw a forward pass next year. They certainly don't trust him right now and gabe away the South Carolina game.
This is why we NEED Levis to play well and get drafted super high. Getting him up on that podium will determine the quality of our next qb

Yes but about 25 of them were laterals or behind the line of scrimmage. I knew that would be the game plan going in so I imagine USC’s staff knew that as well. We had 7 points until the end of the game when USC went prevent and Sheron completed a few passes. He finished with 178 yards but he had less than 100 before the last drive. Don’t be fooled by the end numbers. His body of work that game will not get it done against SEC defenses not named Vandy.

Have to be careful about the portal, though. If UK gets the rep for always looking for a portal QB, it will be extremely hard to convince good HS QB to come here. We may have to look there but if that's the MO going forward, good luck convincing HS Srs to come to UK only to have an outsider come in every year to start.

Allen will not be back. Sheron has some arm talent but is not near being ready to start. By process of elimination, next year's starting QB will have to come from the portal, and there has already been a fair amount of smoke about possibilities that might have Coach Scan's attention.
And before anyone gets their hopes up about Scan leaving, he has a lucrative multiyear contract at UK. That doesn't mean it can't be done. But 4 OCs in 4 years is a really bad look and a huge problem for player development. More likely, the program might hire a more experienced OL coach.
And, please god, hire an experienced special teams coach. That could mean demoting Buffano back to an off-field job to make room on the staff, but it really has to be done. Buffalo hasn't recruited anyone since his promotion, and Coach Collins can handle the entire secondary with just a little help with the safeties by Mark Stoops.
They keep talking about how good Wade is going to be, if so shouldn't he have backed up Levis by now?
They could be just trying to protect him to maintain his RS year and prevent this horrible OL from getting him killed and losing his confidence before he is physically and mentally ready to play in the SEC.
