Who will we have to cover Jackson?

Who might it be Jordan Jones?. someone has to take him on every play & not go for the hand off to a back. If we can get half the sacks Huston got, we have a fighters chance.

I like the Houston concept of taking the fight to him. If his supporting cast is marginal, this makes more sense than playing read and react, and employing a spy.

We dont have anyone

It will never be one player to take away a great player like Jackson. Houston didn't do it with one person. They came from all over the field. It was more about the confusion of the UL O-line than it was a great Houston player.

That O-line has to be at their lowest confidence level of the year. The secret, as said many times on TV last night, is to have all tacklers key on jackson. Give up the running back. He cannot hurt you as much as Jackson.

The trick is to make him pass. He seems to not like to pass under pressure. And keep him off the field with your offense.

Number 34 looked like a pretty decent back to me, although teams worrying about Jackson might have been helping him some.

Bravo, that's what I have been advocating for over a month now!

When playing a qb that likes to run or runs the option, the decision has to be made to hit him on every play. Not dirty hits, but legitimate Football hits whether he has the ball or not.
Like others have said, I'd put a spy on him but not the same spy on every play. It will have to be mixed up.

We are conservative and slow on defense. Jackson will put up 40 plus against Stoops. Stoops doesn't have the nads to play to win. He Coaches games like he's got the better roster.

Takes a village which evidently Houston had, but outside of Jones I don't think we do... .
