I don't know if I can name one. Demps with 23 points. Olah goes 17/11. BMac only scores 4 points, but 9(!) assists and 6 rebounds. Law goes 14/8, with some a monster 3-pointers in the first half when we really needed them! What a team effort and a fun game.

This is why this stretch is so exciting for next year. This hasn't been one guy going bonkers. It's been everyone pitching in throughout all phases of the game. Lumpkin giving us 7 points is big. Lindsey's huge block really set the tone. Mac dropping dimes made him dangerous even when he didn't score much. And Olah, well, the zone has totally rejuvenated him. It highlights his strengths and conserves energy because he doesn't have to fight through picks. And it probably helps keep his fouls down, too.
Demps. Hands down. His "inadvisable play" quotient was extremely low tonight. Usually he's good for 7-10 dumb plays a game. Tonight, there were only 2 and there would have been a third when you could just see him itching to go 1 on 3 when he was smothered in front of the NU bench, but instead of doing so, he called a TO instead. Play of the game if you ask me. He was gonna puke the ball up for sure but somehow managed to stop himself from doing so. 99 out of 100 times be just buries his head and charges ahead. But not that time. He played one of the smartest games he's ever played.

Olah had a very solid game. I liked it when he yelled at his teammates, pounding his chest and saying let me rebound the damn ball. I think the previous possession he and Vic Law fought for the rebound and lost it out of bounds to Indiana, then the next play the same thing happened with Tre Demps knocking the ball out of Olah's hands. I liked that they fought hard for the rebound, and that Olah was getting passionate about losing the ball.
Olah and Law
I'm going to vote for both because they showed toughness that I haven't seen in the Welsh in a long time.
I loved that Olah psychotically yelled at Law. It was a little nuts, but it was his attempt to take ownership of the boards.
I loved how Law calmly stood his ground when I think Yogi purposely tried to intimidate the freshman in a held ball.
Fun stuff.

It was an excellent play.
All five guys touched the ball, from Lindsey with the block, to Olah collecting, onto Tap then Mac, who knifed to the top of the key and skipped it to Demps in the corner. Demps didn't even wait for it to go down before starting his celebration, then the camera cut to Law getting a piggyback ride from Lumpkin on the sideline. NU fouled quickly and, during the stoppage, Demps was nearly giggling with excitement. It was awesome.

If there has to be an individual. But this was really a team win that started with good defense. Indy only had 2 fast break points. Everyone contributed it seemed.

A number of players stepped up and played really well, but I don't see how that there is a debate here. Demps carried the team on his back in the 2nd half. Heck, he had Crean intimating that he has an NBA future.
I've been a big Demps fan from the beginning, but even I don't think he's league material.

I guess in the end I have to go with Demps. He made a lot of really nice scoring plays in both halves, and was 5-6 from the line. You just can't argue with 8-12 shooting...
Demps was an efficient machine on offense. Zone has helped him on defense, too.
This little streak has a lot to do with him raising his level of play in decision making and efficiency.

That play was so awesome. Scottie with the block (how many times over the year have opponents done that to us on a seemingly easy 2), then we push it down the floor (!!), then Demps in the corner, no hesitation with a guy closing. I also loved how he knew it was in and was trotting back down the court the instant it left his hand. I hope it was loud in the stadium on that one, I know I was screaming at home in NY.
That play narrowly surpasses Vic refusing to let Yogi tear the ball away from him, which I thought was awesome. Just asserting that this isn't a team that you are going to push around. And that is narrowly ahead of Olah pounding his chest and saying "the rebound is MINE".
Overall though I agree Tre player of the game - he went on a personal 9-2 run after Vic refused to give up the ball (including that block and 3) which stretched our lead to a good size, and we never relinquished it. He was the difference. That 12-foot running floater in the lane was BMac-esque, wonder if they have practiced it together. Closely followed by Olah, Law, BMac. And then Lumpkin (good D, and a timely 3 and a big lefty finish at the end), Tap (keep making shots and strong rebounding), Lindsey (he played Vic Law ball, doing lots of little things right). Even Sobo (took care of the ball and made FTs) and Skelly (solid in relief of Olah) contributed.
That game was all around so much fun to watch.

Might have gone for Olah if he hadn't settled for long jumpers towards the end (hey big man, you were getting things done in the paint - so why not keep up?; a score or 2 on those possessions could have really put the game out of reach), so am going w/ Demps.
