Why haven't I seen this thread yet? Best Superbowl Ad?

Did I miss it? Has there been a thread on best Superbowl Ad for this year?

My vote is the Buick - Odell Beckham Bridesmaid catch. I loved where they say she was "out of bounds".

The Doritos - UltraSound was also funny.

Definitely not the PuppyMonkeyBaby one. That was awful. Also didn't care for the Superbowl babies one.

The best was probably the Christopher Walken ad or the Doritos ad. The Buick one with Beckham was really good as well.

Not a commercial, but definitely the funniest.

Probably the Doritos ultrasound one. But commercials have really been down the past few years (replaced by better football games)! [laughing] I think the "problem" is more shorter (< 30 second) than back when Apple (Big Brother, Lemmings) and Budweiser (the Frogs) would fill a couple minutes.

Peace

Surprised no one has mentioned Manning's pimping Budweiser in the post-game interview. Hard to tell how much he was paid for that, substantial chunk of change for sure.

Agree. Most of the commercials I saw were underwhelming.

Bud says he was not on the payroll.

Thought they were pretty underwhelming this year. I wonder how much companies pay just to come up with those? I know the cost to play them during the game is huge, but I laugh at the thought of paying some firm a substantial amount when I get more entertainment out of the Darryl Isaacs commercials. Kind of like a particular university spending $80,000 just to change the lettering font on its logo..

Maybe not yet but he will be and people are paid retro all the time.

He has part ownership in two distributors in Tennessee.

The only answer here, though, is puppymonkeybaby.

Most were pretty sad this year but I vote with the Dorito's ultrasound one that made me chuckle. PuppyMonkeyBaby was disgusting, can't believe the guy(s) who came up with that one still have a job today.

As noted elsewhere turns out Manning is involved in Bud distributorship. These things don't "just happen."

Sounds more like self promotion. I agree on ultra sound, made me also laugh out loud.

Maybe so but the end game is $$$.

And the bottom line is the consumer paid for all of them. I haven't paid a lot of attention to ads for years, except to maybe note some companies that you can't get away from their ads so you know they have to charge more for their product.
