Why is UK not looking at RJ Luis Jr or Ian Jackson?

It looks like UK is looking for one more guard. I guess they aren't looking at Ian Jackson because he entered the transfer portal yesterday so that's probably it. But what about Luis Jr? Why are we only looking at Pierre Jr and Yates?

If anyone understands Pitino's fury, it's Pope. Maybe he'd be more understanding of a coach. 😂

RJ Luis is almost certainly going to the NBA or at least doing everything he can to get there.
Ian Jackson I don't really see a fit for. Look for St Johns, Arkansas, Illinois, and Ole Miss to fight it out for him.

I don't believe Pope and staff are publicly advertising everything they are doing. But if they aren't looking at them, then they have their reasons.

Our favorite, Jay Williams, thinks Ian Jackson is just trying to leverage the portal to get a sweeter NIL deal back at UNCheat. Hope that is not true, as I love when Jay is wrong.

The Harlem born/Bronx raised kid is of course on the St. Johns radar. Maybe Pitino called Pope and told him "hands off" 😁.
Arkansas is of course reportedly in the mix too.

Would love him as a CAT though!

For The Win has the 10 best portal players left at each position. At the two guard they have RJ Luis #1, followed by in this order, Conerway of Troy, Thomas of San Fran, Lee of Princeton, Yates of USC, Skillings of Cincy, Washington of New Mex, Jackson of NC, Davis of Bradley and Wilkerson of Sam Houston.

At the four spot the two top guys are Darrion Williams of TX Tech and Alvaro of Robert Morris.

Any wing or guard would be crazy to go to Arkansas, you know cal has promised acuff & the other freshman shots, pt, etc so you’re 3rd fiddle at best.

He’s overlooking the part where the kid basically quit on his team the last 3rd of the season. At least that’s what they claim over on the unc board.

Pope will be calling you to see who he should and should not pursue in the portal. Stay close to your phone!

Love this guys game. I'd take him in a minute.

Getting harder for me to get into the pay these guys are gonna get. I was born and raised in Eastern Ky. The pay is more than anyone I know made in their lifetimes.
Times change and wages change. I can't help but think this is headed to pay to play that will destroy the sport.

The issue is he kinda cratered at the end of last year and he will cost a ton of money. Definitely has potential to be amazing though,

Luis as of today the best two guard in the portal. He is really talented. Lee is actually ranked higher than all the other guards we have looked at. If those two are too expensive I hope we get Pierre. Thought it odd that Pierre was not one of the ten two guards in that ranking.

I was also born and raised in E. Ky (Estill County) and Now live in Wesley Chapel, Fl. Where were you born and now live in Fl?
