The focus for Pope is building a roster. Cal has a small and relatively weak class coming in. He will probably have a rotation of 8 guys max that will be even worse than this year. Really shocked he did not retire, as I don’t see him making another Sweet 16 again. For us, I think we consistently can be in the top ten, and hopefully catch rattle off wins in late March/early April.

The hog fans think Cal will have 15 on the roster next year! They think Cal is gonna change his spots for them!😂 cal hates big rosters! He likes 8-9 guys and 3-4 walkons for practice!

He’s sure to do well in the portal, but everyone just saw what happened after he took the consensus #1 transfer for this year, and while Nelly Davis came on late (30 points tn and doesn’t get a look for either big shot 🙄🙄). They’ll be able to write some big checks, but players aren’t going to want to go there and be mismanaged like Davis was.

Will be interesting to see what decisions are made, if Cal can get Karter Knox back he would be monster next season. What does Wagner do? He’s not an NBA caliber player but he clearly thinks he’s 10x better than he is, but he’s experienced now and if he would focus on being a good COLLEGE basketball player, then he could be very good at this level. I don’t know why Ivisic wouldn’t transfer, but it also didn’t make much sense when he followed Cal to Arkansas. He reverted back to being unplayable in the tournament, but that’s mostly because he doesn’t fit Cal’s system at all. He fits the Illinois system and I think that’s where he’ll go. Aidoo and Davis are out of eligibility and I get the feeling Brazile will want to spend his last season somewhere else more chill than the SEC. Still love Adou, but the team’s spacing was so much better w/o him. Everyone knows Fland is gone. Cal might have a roster in shambles in less than a week’s time.

I actually hope most of their players stay and they bring in a ton of freshmen. Our team will come mostly from the portal. The fewer transfers we have to compete with Tyson for, the better. The money will still talk even if the coaching doesn't justify it.

Weak class? Do you even know who he has coming in? Far from weak.

He will get his players we all know this. The issue is whether guys like K ox return. In the past they didn’t and he’s looked good.
