Like the ACC, the SEC has a 10-weekend conference schedule. Conference play begins on weekend #5. The ACC begins conference play on weekend #4; that why we play Clemron on weekend #3 - the last mutually available weekend for both squads.
ACC teams schedule a non-conference weekend late in the season (not all teams schedule it the same weekend). In years past, Georgia Tech has used theirs to travel up north.
I wish the SEC would begin conference play with weekend #4 as well, which would hopefully enable us and Clemron to schedule the same late-season off weekend to play each other.

Too bad that's Farenheit and not Celsius. 27°C is great baseball weather! 31 is a little warm, but great for swimming.
