Don’t know if it’s his tweet saying he’s locked in with OU, but I truly think Jayden Gibson could be the top target for whoever the hell is Quarterback next year. He’s 6’6 and sneaky quick for his size, and although lanky, showed elite physicality in 2023. IF Mateer is the QB in 25, I wouldn’t be surprised if he racks up 1,000+ next season.

You hope that he can come back and be as good or even better than before… Seeing the previous progressions im betting on the latter

It’s not like OU is playing Oregon so OU can win this game with Navy with what’s available at WR.
I expect, however, that OU tries to establish its running game and grind Navy’s defense down.
The receivers I mentioned were recruited to compete against D-1 teams. This is their time.

Agreed but I don't think many of us are really concerned about the bowl game. We are concerned about the future. The sport is eroding before our eyes.

Crazy season. So the game with Navy has become the most important of the year, IMO. As it will determine if OU had a winning season or a losing season. Years from now what happened this year won’t matter except whether we were winners or losers. So let’s win, Brent. BOOMER!

So we are going to field a rag tag team for a bowl game against Navy. Great……I’m not optimistic
Well it isn’t going to be easy considering Navy will be at full strength. They dont have to worry about the opt outs. At least OU will not have to worry much about the Navy passing game so this game should be very entertaining. I hope OU can win but it will come down to ball control.

Let’s wait until OU has brought in transfers before we talk of a bleak future.
I see this as one of two possibilities. 1. the receiver room was asked to leave or 2. the receiver room quit on the team for next year. We did not exactly tear it up on the offensive side of the ball last year with respect to the portal, except for Burkes. I'm not sure what momentum we have that will change that this year, but hey, maybe Ben Arbuckle can make a dent in this complete meltdown of our offense but we are facing some systemic issues beyond the injuries.
