Wide splits on the offense line?

Anybody think we might see it this year? We sure saw it during the one year of Mike Leach and Lincoln Riley has used it before.

What are the weaknesses if we do. Does it help with an un expierenced line?

How about pass rushing? Does it give our opponents an advantage?

Just something to discuss............

The number one disadvantage is you get your quarterback beat up. I don't think you'll see the wide OLine splits.

I wouldn't rule out anything. Getting your QB beat up is a function of how good your OL is and how long it takes you to get the ball to a playmaker. I don't recall any of Leach's QB taking an extraordinary beating.

Not sure if we'll see the wide splits, which I'm not sure will work well with the emphasis we'll have on the running game this season.
