Bro, Brohm will be welcomed back with open arms. We will all be laughing when he takes the garbagemakers for tens of millions of dollars and comes home to ring the bell during one of the many Scott Satterfield wins.

We’ll be winning championships, Purdue will spend winter in broke *** Indiana, Brohm will be a millionaire. We’ll be laughing and they’ll be crying, bro.

Yes, always, absolutely. We all make decisions in life for our own reasons, no need to be a ***** about it. Satterfield seems to be a good hire, I was underwhelmed at first but now lookign back at it we are quite lucky to have him (same with Chris Mack). It has to play out (just like it has to with Brohm and Chris Mack for that matter), let's hope the fans have the stomach & patience for it to play out.

Welcome back to our board, bro. Purdue sucks so bad that their own fans don’t even want to deal with them.

Your life is at a broke *** level in a broke *** town in a broke *** state that you have to go to another teams message board just for a breath of culture and championships, bro. It’s cool, we know Purdue will never experience what we have and West Lafayette is the WKU of the north. Not Bowling Green though, that city is nice, unlike yours.

Hi garbagebreezy, I’m not sure what all championships that Louisville will earn in the coming years but I’m certain they’ll be more than Purdue or your stupid bucket, bro.

We’ve been closer to Clemson, closer to the playoffs that Purdue has ever been in their broke *** existence. Keep chasing those early December bowl games, bro. Maybe the dream will come true and you’ll get that music city bowl trophy (been there, done that.)

So, someone from the IU Board started a thread here to troll Purdue fans, I'm guessing.

IU-Bloomington fans are hilarious. They consistently win the “Funniest Fans” category every year in the Big 10+4.

During the "will he / won't he" fiasco, I posited that within 5 years that Brohm would be loathed by both Purdue and UofL fans. I thought he would...

1. Use UofL's coaching search as a wedge to extort money out of Purdue.
2. UofL would hire a coach and fans would compare his record to the imaginary record of "what could have been" with Brohm, ultimately letting him [Satterfield] go too soon.
3. At Purdue, Brohm either bottoms out or hits it big--and bolts for the NFL. Either way, Purdue fans end up hating him.

It all comes down to the patience of UofL fans. Do the have in them to keep calm while Satterfield rebuilds? If they do, missing on Brohm will be a blessing in disguise.

With our schedule over the next few years, my patience will be dictated in how we look during the rebuild. Are we competitive? Are the recruiting classes improving? Hypothetically, if we go 4-8 or 3-9 this year and are competitive against the teams we should be, i.e. WF, UK, NC ST, BC..I am good. From there steady improvement with the realistic approach we are back to 8-9 win seasons by 2021 or 22 is ideal.

The Brohms are UofL royalty. No matter what happened, I'm proud to have Satterfield and hope he is a 10+ yr coach here!

Well the Brohms are no more “UofL royalty” than the Redman family. Lloyd (Pappy), Bobby and Chris all played and starred at UofL. Plus Chris had a much, much better NFL career than any Brohm. Also, Bobby proved to an outstanding HS coach as was his dad, Lloyd.

No one was talking about the Redman's. Yes, they are obviously UofL royalty as well.

My point is when discussing “UofL football royalty” the Redmans bring as much as do the Brohm’s to our UofL legacy.

Well, sort of. Redman may have had a better NFL career but Brian was the MVP of our most prestigious bowl game victory..

Well I’m not sure that the Orange Bowl was any bigger than the Sugar Bowl. But this could go on forever. The point is that we have TWO “royalty” families at UofL from right here in River City.

What did Redmon have to do with Sugar Bowl?

The Orange Bowl was a BCS bowl game pitting No. 6 U of L vs No.15 Wake. The 2013 Sugar Bowl was a postseason bowl game pitting No. 3 Florida and No. 21 U of L.

The Orange Bowl was a BCS bowl game pitting No. 6 U of L vs No.15 Wake. The 2013 Sugar Bowl was a postseason bowl game pitting No. 3 Florida and No. 21 U of L.

And we proved that the 21 ranking was wrong. And you should also know that the Sugar Bowl has always been a total equal to the Orange Bowl. And I didn’t say anything about what any Redman had to do with either of these outstanding bowl appearances. And I believe the “BCS” tag had gone away by the time we played in the Sugar Bowl. Even so it was a BCS level bowl game. And, by the way, our QB in that game has also had a far better professional career than did Brian Brohm. The Brohm family has contributed mightily to the UofL football legacy as has the Redman family. That was the original point. Jeff Brohm has used his chance here at UofL as far as I’m concerned and turning us down has very little to do with my attitude. But his using us to extort money from his present employer does and then going on the radio and boohooing all over the place about his “difficult” decision all the while he was laughing all the way to the bank. We showed our loyalty to him by offering him our number one football job and he threw it back in our face. Zero loyalty there.
