Will OU start faster under Coach Linc?

OU seemed to need a game or three before they really got rolling most years. I would love the see the team take hammers to bones from game one, and keep building until they hoist up # 8.

It'll be a very interesting year to say the least. I have a strange feeling that Riley will have the team's energy rocking & rolling. They have a couple of months to replace Sunderland. This was a tough loss.

What has really changed from last year to this year? LR was calling the plays last year and will be doing so again this year. A more aggressive style is his only option unless he has a few more wrinkles in play calling. He needs to kick a few asses on the defensive side of the ball. No nepotism this year! Put out or get out.

The slow start had everything to do with Mike Stoops's defense during the first half of the season especially against Houston and TOSU. Players running around clueless about assignments. The hiring of Ruffin McNeill had everything to do with sending a strong message to Mike Stoops that this better not happen again. Big brother is no longer your boss. IMO

This year, without any proven RB, I can see Riley, running a lot of junk routes and falling short in the red zone. Mayfield will have a lot of time in the pocket against the Big12, I can't think of one great Dline or front 7.

Something we saw last year in the back half of the season was an offense that evolved into a game plan that was more of a ball control, run the clock, protect the defense, finish the game quicker with fewer injuries and beaten up players.

Riley knows it’s a long season and his depth is not great at some key defensive positions. I expect to see OU build good leads in many games and then watch OU use its massive OL to control and finish most games.
