He is also a POS . Horrible human being. Don't care how many games he wins , if I was a parent there is no way he gets within a mile of my son if he was a player. He's cleary missing the mark and needs to instill some lines about how his players are "beautiful" and "these guys are wonderful", and display "gratitude."
You know him?He is also a POS . Horrible human being. Don't care how many games he wins , if I was a parent there is no way he gets within a mile of my son if he was a player.
All because he did at LSU what is legal to do now?He is also a POS . Horrible human being. Don't care how many games he wins , if I was a parent there is no way he gets within a mile of my son if he was a player.
Paying these kids is the beginning of the downfall of college sports. Watch and see.
What did he do? Genuine question. Was it just recruiting violations or did he get into some Chris Beard and/or Todd Golden type trouble?? Idk much about the controversyHe is also a POS . Horrible human being. Don't care how many games he wins , if I was a parent there is no way he gets within a mile of my son if he was a player.

Doesnt help that even the coaches completely dismiss this is supposed to be about COLLEGE athletes. As I've said many time, the Universities themselves are irrelevant any more, just using their facilities for their semi pro leaguesPaying these kids is the beginning of the downfall of college sports. Most of them won't care. College is all about the money, even for normal students no one cares if they show up or pass, they only care about the check clearing.Doesnt help that even the coaches completely dismiss this is supposed to be about COLLEGE athletes. Breaking or circumventing NCAA rules does not make a person a POS.He is also a POS . Horrible human being. Don't care how many games he wins , if I was a parent there is no way he gets within a mile of my son if he was a player.
Not saying that these examples you used make a person a pos or anything, but they did break the rules that were in place. To me that leads to the character of the person. They willingly cheated to gain an advantage. In my line of work and life in general, I try not to judge, but don’t see that as a character of a man I want to. E associated with. Can’t stand cheaters. Do anything to get ahead.Breaking or circumventing NCAA rules does not make a person a POS.
Is Kelvin Sampson a POS because he made some phone calls when he wasn't supposed to?
Is Bruce Pearl a POS because he had Aaron Craft at a BBQ when the NCAA said he couldn't be there?
If a coach is abusing players or covering up crimes then maybe the POS label is valid.
They are just the ones that got caught. Not saying that these examples you used make a person a pos or anything, but they did break the rules that were in place. That might be true if they were the exception and not the rule. Not saying that these examples you used make a person a pos or anything, but they did break the rules that were in place. I’m not arguing that a ton of schools/people were cheating. No doubt. That might be true if they were the exception and not the rule.
Everyone was breaking rules to some degree including the UK program under multiple coaches.
And, “their casual attitudes, are at an elite level!”He's cleary missing the mark and needs to instill some lines about how his players are "beautiful" and "these guys are wonderful", and display "gratitude."
Bc he said he gave a guy a "strong *ss offer"? You're being a bit dramatic. What did he actually DO that was so bad?Have you guys ever read the transcripts of the phone calls this guy got taped. I really don't understand why anybody would support this guy. I used to run a prison A&D treatment program and I used to hear the same BS from inmates that I hear here." Everybody's doing it , I just got caught!" What a croc
Sounds like some guys will be getting some strong *** drills.
Because he needed "strong assed offers" for players? Seriously? Was John Wooden a POS? Cal? Pitino? If you've coached CBB in the last 50-100 years, there's about a 99.9% chance you colored outside the lines. Just stop.He is also a POS . Horrible human being. Don't care how many games he wins , if I was a parent there is no way he gets within a mile of my son if he was a player.
Nothing outside of the violations. Some people are just weird and holier than thou all the time. What did he do? Genuine question. Was it just recruiting violations or did he get into some Chris Beard and/or Todd Golden type trouble?? Idk much about the controversy
Thankfully we have a coach that preaches persistent positivity or whatever that crap is he calls it. Just wish the scoreboard was a little more persistently positive.Have you guys ever read the transcripts of the phone calls this guy got taped. Sort of defines soft, huh?Meanwhile Mark can’t speak above a conversational tone because his throat is sore.
Thank you, people can't answer a d*mn straight-up question around here for some reasonNothing outside of the violations. Some people are just weird and holier than thou all the time.
It's called toxic positivity and it's infected a lot of the posters on here as wellThankfully we have a coach that preaches persistent positivity or whatever that crap is he calls it. Just wish the scoreboard was a little more persistently positive.
lol because he was paying players? He is also a POS . Horrible human being. Don't care how many games he wins , if I was a parent there is no way he gets within a mile of my son if he was a player.
Once again did you ever read the transcripts of his phone conversations with the " fixer" that was brokering recruits to him. The whole network of guys he was involved with was under FBI investigation and for a time the justice department was considering an indictment of him along with them. A real class act . Not to mention the shambles LSU was in when he was fired, one which they still have.t recovered from.Nothing outside of the violations. Some people are just weird and holier than thou all the time.
We can't all be big tough guys like you fellasIt's called toxic positivity and it's infected a lot of the posters on here as well
That’s Roy D. Mercernvm i shouldn't have said that
It's embarrassing to imagine how many hours I've put into listening to Roy D Mercer and the Jerky Boys. That’s Roy D. Mercer
Me too. My favorite was the prize winning ping pong playing hamster named Liborace, that got squished by a set of dumbbells. Used to buy the CDs and listen to them all day while working construction. Long time ago. It's embarrassing to imagine how many hours I've put into listening to Roy D Mercer and the Jerky Boys.
Ah...it was a simpler time.
and...he is the last person to talk about soft...he is softer than wet charminHe is also a POS . Horrible human being. Don't care how many games he wins , if I was a parent there is no way he gets within a mile of my son if he was a player.
clarify what you mean by "downfall"......Paying these kids is the beginning of the downfall of college sports. Watch and see.
Yes. I have. He paid the layers and hand a bagman. Just like Cal had WWW. Just like Wood had Sam Gilbert. LSU is “still in shambles” because they made a ****** hire. That’s all. Programs can be turned around in about two weeks these days.Once again did you ever read the transcripts of his phone conversations with the " fixer" that was brokering recruits to him.
