It’ll be interesting to see if the Cats are rusty after an eight-day layoff. Wisconsin has been off for six days, too. It might be a ragged game.

I’m hoping that improved outside shooting is one of the side effects of this COVID variant.

Light crowd. Cats off to a great start. Roper just hit a three after his jab-step nearly had the defender on his ***.

Nice block by Beran! I loved that Audige didn’t come too far to help knowing Robbie would have that chance. Lowery deserves a raise.

Roper still not back from the locker room. That and three fouls on Tydus leaves us really thin.

Boo and Roper (if he comes back), Need to be more active in defense. I know people complain about open threes for opponents, but they are late reacting with closeouts.

Solid first half. We’re going to need more from Beran in the second half, particularly if Roper can’t play. It would be very nice to get an early third foul on Wahl.

Cats in the locker room with the halftime lead, although we didn't need that guy to tip it in at the buzzer over Big Matt.

First five minutes saw 3 times us doubling the post in a clumsy way, the opponent seeing the double coming with plenty of time. 3 open shots, they made one.

We started floating more instead of doubling. Less open shots.

WI should be more fluent on offense in the second half. They looked like they have been off for a while more than we did.

If our bigs stay out of foul trouble and we do not run out of gas physically we'll win this, regardless of their improvement on offense.

It’s not like we are double teaming the post that poorly right now. But it looks like WI just found out we are going to double and has gone to Crowl on every possession. And he’s making good decisions. Ugh

They said “just” 3 scholarship players had Covid. That’s good news. 6 not affected by it.

9 total turnovers at the U12. Five for UW and four for NU.

Is that Ryan Young on the floor for NU? Oh, nope, it’s Boo with a YMCA no-hops move. Booooooo.
