so what's our game plan with the badgers?
I know they run the ball like we used to, and are pretty good at run defense, like we used to be.
will we hang a lot of passing yards on them?

Personally I vote for maybe letting linebackers and safeties who execute their responsibilities play. I'm so sick of linebackers taking themselves out of plays. Give me some more Brody Belt at RB. Time to let some other people have a shot at it . We have nothing to lose against Wisconsin. I also think maybe we should try the old Cosgrove versus Texas and blitz EVERY down. Try to stuff Taylor and see what happens. It's our only hope.Quick kick on third down, or forfeit only lose by one point

Maybe Taylor breaks his leg in practice. I was at the Texas NU game when Cosgrove blitzed McCoy every single down. It was working until the 4th quarter when McKewon etal just ran out of gas. Jamaal Charles broke a long TD run around a linebacker who literally could not run anymore. We had zero linebacker depth to give anybody a blow. There is zero hope against Wis. ZERO
Their whole offense could break their legs & we’d have ZERO chance to beat them.Maybe Taylor breaks his leg in practice. I was at the Texas NU game when Cosgrove blitzed McCoy every single down. I was shocked that we weren't able to take advantage of what I deem to be a fairly slow defense of Minnesota. Actually we did for a little while in the first half but we kept shooting ourselves in the foot with penalties. Then I think we just gave up.Their whole offense could break their legs & we’d have ZERO chance to beat them.
The best we could hope for is a never ending 0-0 game.
I’m not sure that we could keep their defense from scoring on us but I’m damn sure that we won’t score a point on their defense.
Yeah, but to do this we would have to be fast and talented....something that is continuously over estimated by our fan baseI was shocked that we weren't able to take advantage of what I deem to be a fairly slow defense of Minnesota. We showed some of it on the JD long play called back by the block in the back.Yeah, but to do this we would have to be fast and talented....something that is continuously over estimated by our fan base
Take your lumps and move on. Win 6 games and call it a success. It is hard for fans to sit through it, and harder for players to play through it...put everything into beating Indiana, Purdue, and Maryland...I wondered if the "favorable" schedule was actually a curse because some of our cupcakes are on the road and we aren't beating Iowa, Wisky, and OSU at home.so what's our game plan with the badgers?

Minnesota should have never have been in the "cupcake" column. Some pretty knowledgeable analysts picked them to win the west. Maybe some of that was their schedule but they're a reasonably good veteran team now.Take your lumps and move on. Win 6 games and call it a success. Yes, and others show it routinely against us, and in other games. We showed some of it on the JD long play called back by the block in the back.
And probably zero points - for us that is. They will easily hang a half-hundred on us. And we'll probably have another 6 injuries in the process. There is zero hope against Wis. ZERO
And I pray to God they don't bring in recruits to see our train wreck. EmbarrasingThe Wisconsin game will be a repeat performance of the Ohio State game, get used to it. Nothing more would I like to see than the opposite, but it's going to be a bludgeoning.
Yeah even our "special" players wouldn't start at the better programs. JD Spielman is nowhere in the same league as KJ Hamler at PSU, and I don't even think Hamler is considered a top 20 receiver in the nation. Maurice Washington would be just another running back at a lot of schools and probably wouldn't even play much. Wandale Robinson is good for a freshman, but he's been overhyped as well. I hate labeling players "special" or having "it" when you've only seen them in fall camp playing against our mediocre defense or that they look good in noncontact drills. We don't have an elite or special player anywhere on the roster.Yes, and others show it routinely against us, and in other games.
games I watched this weekend- JD would be a back up at PSU and wouldnt play much, he would be a backup at Minny but play some, he would be a backup at Wisky but play, he would be a back at Iowa but play over their freshman Tracy who get a healthy dose of snaps
I think Wandale could be really good. His main obstacle will alway be health....it’s dang rare for a mini guy to stand up in this conference, especially with heavy usage.Yeah even our "special" players wouldn't start at the better programs. Afraid we're going to get slaughtered again when we play Wisconsin seeing how Minnesota just beat the living tar out of us. Sad but a likely outcome at this point. I shudder to think how our offense will score against their defense and how our defense can stop their running game. It'll take a miracle this year.so what's our game plan with the badgers?

If it's below freezing we could flood the field and play on a sheet of ice. I recall in the big 8 days Iowa state and Missouri use similar approaches of flooding their grass fields and not mowing.
We are on to Indianaso what's our game plan with the badgers?

my mistake, for some reason I thought wisconson was our next game..We are on to Indiana
I put it at 1%; NW made it a game. Put in some young guys who like to play football, crazy stuff my ensue. There is zero hope against Wis. ZERO
Oh man, you practically needed ice skates to play on Missouri's field in the early- to mid-90s. That omni-turf was slippery.Iowa State and Mizzou had artificial turf in the 80's and 90s

I had the opportunity to watch the Wisconsin-Michigan St. game on television with a bunch of locals in Wisconsin on Saturday. What was glaring to me was that they look more like the NU of old than we do (even their fans reminded me of Husker fans from yesteryear). Thanks, Barry. Secondly, they win almost every PLAY. They literally take it one play at a time, with intensity every play, and don’t make many mistakes. Honestly, it was frustrating to watch knowing we used to play like that. Would love to see that energy and excitement some day again in Lincoln, but we’ve got a lot of old baggage to shed first before we can get our mojo back. I’m not sure that old blueprint is part of Frost’s grand plan, but would love to see a gradual move back to our roots. GBR.

Nah it will on ly be tree fiddyI expect a whole bevy of records to be broken. No points for Huskers and J. Taylor rushes for like 4fitty.
