It’s real . He said that he is done chasing the NBA. He just wants to play basketball because he loves the game . He said it on some podcast I can’t remember which one though .

He's "only" 34 and technically healthy but he's had some tough injuries that are incredibly hard come back from. He fully ruptured his achilles and at his size he's lucky it wasn't a career killer right then and there.
