Looks talented, I like to see a deep dive but he seems more athletic and skilled than most of our players. At this point we need guys who get along and play team basketball. That would be a huge improvement.

Eh. Maybe there would be some potential there because be does appear to have some athleticism. I’ll hold off on thinking that guard shooting 21% from 3 and 43% overall against WKU’s level of competition is a can’t miss prospect for us though.

Feel like I have to ask this question permanently from now on: would you take him if he played for Arizona St? 12 and 4 at WKU doesnt do much for me and it feels like we just want him cause hes a KY guy.

I think you have to have a balance of analytics along with still maintaining a feel for the game.

Take layups or 3’s (not this year’s team) instead of long 2’s is great analytics.

Play this player for 26 minutes no matter how good or bad they’re playing is bad analytics.

Analytics are fine but you can’t simply read paper and math. You have to use instincts MLB clearly has shown that decisions by analytics alone will destroy your year. It’s happening to many organizations. They will literally make the call the math says make and it’s caused utter devastation to many playoff runs.

You have to use instincts and personal touch along with it. If Mark is only using analytics then that’s stupid. Doesn’t work. If he’s evaluating with his eye and gut and matching it up with the paper that’s the way to go. That’s what Oats andHurley do.

This kid isn’t UK material, possibly down the bench but he’s not fast enough and doesn’t shoot well. Gotta remember who he’s playing and can’t go off highlight reels.
