Reports that Cincy's coming open this week and he could be headed there. Better show at least a passing interest in a DC.

There are better jobs than Baylor. Don't know why he would have to retire there.

If he lands the Baylor job he will IMO not leave a Another job like a Michigan State or Ole Miss...it would be for a LSU, Florida type gig.

Baylor's a ****** job. Don't get confused in what briles did there in the L'ville mode, its still a ****** job and a tainted name. A healthy Texas, aTm, and TCU (long term), an entire school that deserves the death penalty in Baylor, its not a place to retire. Murder and rape, sure, but retire, no.

The rise of all of the Texas also-rans (except Leach at TTU) coincided perfectly with Texas starting to suck with a lazy mack brown and a bad hire to replace him. Texas is going to go back to being Texas immediately in recruiting and within 2 years in perception.

WKU grad--which doesn't make me anymore of an expert on the situation than anyone else.

But, he's one of if not the hottest name after the Houston Coach left the market.
Purdue is selling himself short. It's a step up from WKU, but if that's all you're getting you may as well wait a year and get something better.

Baylor IS a good job. Big 12 school in Texas for a guy that has been able to recruit well to a small school in KY? It's a no brainer. The recent history definitely brings up some questions. But, I think that's a job worthy of leaving now for.

And as WKU fans, I can't imagine people being salty. It's never going to be a permanent job, and he really took the school to a whole new level. Most thought he'd be gone last year, and we got an entire extra year. Hopefully he excels at the new gig. Maybe he'll hook WKU up with a game vs Baylor.

Waco is still a crap town in between Austin and Dallas/Fort Worth. That will never change. But the program is so tainted I'm not sure I want to be the coach that takes over immediately after. Maybe the one after :)

Cough cough... no he didn't... cough cough... He sucked and never finished above 5-6 cough cough... He was a disgrace cough cough... Art Briles had to start from scratch and didn't get them to a bowl until his 3rd year cough cough... Guy Morris did not lay anything resembling a foundation cough cough...

Wuh. Sorry about that, something in my throat. Hey, seems like my fake cold is way more informed about football than yours. Crazy how fake colds work.

Brohm should be patient and wait to see if other doors open. He's been very successful at WKU. He may benefit from a firing at a P5 school other than Baylor or Purdue.

What connection does he have to Texas? I think the Baylor job, and other Texas school jobs, are best manned by coaches who are known and know the Texas HS football scene. It takes time to recruit against the Texas and OK schools and LSU. It helps if you know the culture first. Briles was a product of that culture. I think Jeff could get a job better suited for him.

I think he fits the Baylor job perfect. Think about it. They already have players who were recruited to play in system very similar to what Brohm uses. He would have to go in and recruit totally different players at places like Purdue. This makes a lot of sense to me. Would be a good hire!!

Just read that Brohm could get some interest from Cincinnati if they were to put Tuberville out to pasture.

Hazell recruited for a spread offense at Purdue, just didn't get enough talent. It's tough to recruit there.
