So our state university in the rural mountains of Appalachia that happens to be the brightest of red when it come to our politics and our way of thinking in less than a year has chosen two Homecoming Queens and no king and now a female Mountaineer. The two queens is obviously pandering to be woke by the administration and our ancient leftist President. The Mountainette....the beard thing has been beaten to death so enough on that. My issue is factually historically correct. A woman of that era would not be wearing a buckskin shirt and pants like her male family members. Read the book or watch the movie "Follow The River" about pioneer woman Mary Ingles who was taken from her home just south of Bluefield by the Shawnee in 1755. She escaped a few years later from them in Ohio and walked home through the New River Gorge. Here is a depiction of her and other woman captives as they left for Ohio. They are wearing long dresses not a buckskin shirt and pants. That would've been scandalous and politically incorrect in that time period for women to wear pants. She simply would not. Imagine telling a woman today that in order to get the job she seeks, she simply has to pretend she's a man? OMG the fallout but we do it and love it at good ole WVU.

While we’re at it they should only be allowed to eat what they catch in the wild, sleep in a tent in the woods, and since we’re being historically accurate they shouldn’t obtain a degree because in 1755 Mountaineers didn’t go to college

I don't get all the angst over the selection. It's not even a new precedent as there have been multiple female mascots here at WVU.

Everyone just stop bitching. At least we don't have men competing against the women in swimming (Yet).

Funny how Gee is now a leftist liberal again. Faculty/Staff tried to get him ousted for being a right ring Trump supporter not too long ago. Impressive how he can switch parties so often. 😂

She was the backup mountaineer. She served her time. The backup usually gets the rifle next.

He's hoping the young lass whips herself into great shape in preparation of the upcoming football season. Then you misogynistic pervs (which I count myself as one) will make lewd comments about how good she looks in buckskin.

Some folks go overboard saying they're just kids don't criticize any player that plays at WVU! Then an 18/19 year old freshman girl becomes the Mascot and they go all out angry on the kid. She's from WV and wants to be mascot. Good for her and good luck that's a demanding position.

If you have one of those ridiculous mascots that are in a costume with a giant head they have to wear it doesn't matter .I'm not anti-woman I'm not a gender-biased person but we have one of the few mascots that is actually a human being that their face and can be seen which I think is exclusive company to be in .The Notre Dame Leprechaun the Trojan @usc the Warchief at Florida State they're actually human beings that don't have a silly giant head they wear and if you are a human being I think it would be tough to have the Trojan @usc be a female I think it would be tough to have the Warchief at Florida State be a female and if they were females they wouldn't dress as their male predecessors dressed.

Probably wouldn't be a female Indian war chief but there were plenty of female Mountaineers who were vital to the foundation of the state so it won't kill us.

We have had female Mountaineers before genius. Progress is a tough thing to understand for some, but dont get discouraged, you will find plenty of circle jerks where waxed nostalgia is still cherished by other retarded minds as well.

What was a bigger "circle jerk" than that fake, phony, Hillary/DNC bought-and-paid-for media fed illegal Trump "collusion" scam with Russians ALL you folks on the Left lapped up for damn near most of Trump's presidency?

This is the reason we ask you here, to be the center of the circle jerk... betting you knew that.
Do you notice how a trademark of the Left is their condescending arrogance? Amazes me how a bunch of "circle jerkers" who appear to be so aloof and above the huddled masses, can't even give you three good reasons why they all voted for this dweeb?

I dunno, maybe they thought I really knew what to do or something?

Uh no creepy Joe...they only voted for you because they completely hated your opponent...no other reason.

So a duck with a giant head is ridiculous, but a dude that dresses as a leprechaun isn’t? You spend way too much time thinking about mascots. Are you one of those dudes that gets off on humping stuffed animals?

You should hang out with @Christian96. He likes to jerk off to his Mom’s creepy doll collection.

And you like to hang out on this forum being "bored" rather than perfecting your Golf game!

@NYC_Eer ...just playin' it where it lies....🤣
