I was there. Kept it close for a bit, but got very ugly in the 2nd Q. Couple of technical fouls which then led to 3 Cats, 2 starters, being ejected for "coming off the bench". Extremely poor officiating, but wouldn't have changed the outcome. We are shooting at a very poor clip so far.Our women went up against #9 Notre Dame the other night and got absolutely destroyed, losing by 34. No one from our side hit double digits scoring. Was anyone at the game?
This has been your semi-regular women's basketball update.

Game was at NU. I watched most of it, and our defense and rebounding were terrible, particularly by Walsh.Sounds like typical Notre Dame officiating.
I attended a men's basketball game back in the day - Notre Dame hosting Kansas. Couldn't believe the crap they were calling. Scarred me for life.
I think they bring their refs on the road!Game was at NU. I watched most of it, and our defense and rebounding were terrible, particularly by Walsh.
I just figured mollywhomping is any time a female of Irish descent, or a team of females named after the Irish, beats you.I always wondered at what point something becomes a mollywhomping.
(Ok... I've never really wondered that. I just wanted to say "mollywhomping")
Still there! https://northwestern.forums.rivals.com/threads/cats-win-home-opener.63920/#post-962274We weren't able to go to the game, but I expect we'll see the next home game. We had a lot of fun at the Penn game. I wrote a post about it, but the thread seems to have disappeared into the ether.
