Women got mollywhomped the other night

I was there. Kept it close for a bit, but got very ugly in the 2nd Q. Couple of technical fouls which then led to 3 Cats, 2 starters, being ejected for "coming off the bench". Extremely poor officiating, but wouldn't have changed the outcome. We are shooting at a very poor clip so far.
Sounds like typical Notre Dame officiating.
I attended a men's basketball game back in the day - Notre Dame hosting Kansas. Couldn't believe the crap they were calling. Scarred me for life.
Game was at NU. I watched most of it, and our defense and rebounding were terrible, particularly by Walsh.
We weren't able to go to the game, but I expect we'll see the next home game. We had a lot of fun at the Penn game. I wrote a post about it, but the thread seems to have disappeared into the ether.
Rebounding is atrocious. Very soft and passive on the boards. There were times when NU players seemed to run away from rebounds when the ball was coming to them rather than taking one step toward the ball and grabbing it. Inside shooting also quite bad. If they don’t improve a lot, I don’t see them winning more than two or three conference games.
I just figured mollywhomping is any time a female of Irish descent, or a team of females named after the Irish, beats you.
Were NU still the Fighting Methodists, I’m fairly certain every victory by our women’s teams would be a fanniewhacking, or a fanniewhackin’, if you prefer.
