Gawd, my wife is a dietician.... I keep telling her that I'm going "out" first, so lets open the menu up a bit for some good tasting, unhealthy stuff...

I swear that I'm gonna' move someplace back to the South in retirement (whenever that gets here), just for the food!

Please stay out. Unless you got a country grandma from wayyy back then women need to just stay out the kitchen. Good reason why most of the best chefs in the world are MEN.

Otherwise just do the dishes.

Should they be barefoot, naked & pregnant when they're doing those dishes? I can do without the pregnant part myself.

My wife is a fantastic cook. I cook game meats and handle all the grilling though. She can go country or change it up. Her Italian dishes are better than any I’ve ate in a restaurant. Tonight was salmon patties, soup beans, greens, kraut, fried potatoes and cornbread.

Good for you! Sounds like you got yerself a keeper.

When can I come over for dinner?

I ain’t doin’ the dishes.

No I’m fine at cooking but prefer it to be made for me. When you go to a restaurant do you go to the kitchen and tell them you got this?
No but I do go to a bar & ask the bartender what’s goooood

I definitely enjoy grilling and then crockpot/dutch oven meals in the cold winters up here.

.. but if at any time she wants to take the reigns on a given day.. by all means.

Cooking is enjoyable, but sometimes the daily grind of "what are we having for dinner tonight?" is the last thing you want to think about after work.

KY men gossip like women so this thread is unsurprising.

I've barely if ever done anything in the kitchen. I don't know what any of the appliances are for. I buy all the groceries then just drop them off. Somehow that results in food being delivered to me by my wife which is why she is there.

Ahhhh, the "food fairy" does it all for you. Some of us have the "laundry fairy", the "Xmas Fairy", the "Children Fairy"....etc.

My "Food Fairy" has let me down for my tastes, so If I want real mash potatoes, green beans in ham hocks, steak that actually has a lil' salt flavoring, etc., THIS guy has to get off his fat A _ Z and make it happen. And don't get me started on blackberry or cherry cobbler...
