Say what you will about me but I enjoy watching it. I'm glad they went away from the November Nine crap and it will all be over in 2 weeks. Vanessa Selbst had an ace high full house and got knocked out by quad 7's. Brutal. I also saw a hand earlier where someone had pocket aces and 2 other players at the table had pocket kings. Talk about a dream scenario.

That Selbst/Beumann hand was one of the sickest I have ever seen...

Also - agree with the new coverage and format; good move forward.

I'm at the WSOP, participating for like 13 or 14th year in a row. I've seen more brutal beats this year than any year I can remember. Side cash games as well on the side. At the same table as me, was not in the hand, but A-A vs K-K vs K-K vs Q-Q. the aces held up

Years ago lost A's full to 4Q's with 2Q's in hole. Only cost me $250-300. Flop AAQ with my A in hole. I play it slow thinking it's in bag. Q on turn & opponent starts going big. I figure at worst I split. Wrong.

How difficult is the registration process; do you stay at the Rio during the trny; do they give a special rate or upgrades for participants?

It is on my bucket list.

registration takes less than a minute. No problem at all. I usually stay at the rio, but last time i waited too long and it was booked.i stayed next door at the gold coast. Which is about a 10 minute walk through the parking lot. You can get special rates at times, and i have had my room comped before for the whole tourney, by playing at various properties affiliated with the Rio

One of my coworkers is playing. He has a WSOP Bracelet so he has some success, the WSOP sit claims he has about $350,000 in winnings lifetime, no idea how much he has bet to win that much.

Brother got knocked out on day 2C. He did cash once around 50,000 a few years ago. He loves that tournament.

It's been pretty boring, so far. No villain to pull against like that Brit last year.

I was mainly following online but I was really rooting against the German that went out first today. No real reason other than wearing that scarf.

Big fan of the WSOP. I was in Vegas a few summers back when Coleman spiked the One Drop for 15M. I was right there in the stage area you can see on tv. Pretty damn cool experience seeing him and Negreanu battle heads up.

I used to play a lot of online poker on Fulltilt and Pokerstars. I am leery of using Bovada. I usually try to get up to the casino a few times a year to play.

I also enjoy the Youtube dudes who started the whole poker/vegas vlog.

The ESPN coverage is on point this year. Very cool to watch it live.
