Worse Things Than Going To The Dentist

Spending 3+ hours watching girl's middle school basketball while sitting on bleachers with a bad back. The offenses consisted of driving the ball into a crowd, losing control, and being tied up. I don't think I've ever witnessed over 20+ jump balls in a single game. I was there to support my daughter in her first game as a middle school cheerleader. The things parents do for their kids.

dentist always have an office full of hot smoke. and you just lay there. and occasionally get pain pills for your time. i mean what is better than that especially if you have insurance paying for it to boot.

Colonoscopy.
Don't know about you but I'd much rather have someone look in my mouth than drive a camera up my ***.
Had my 3rd colonoscopy first week of August.
Had a molar filled just yesterday.

Both experiences were the best I've had yet, respectively.

Colonoscopy: New hospital, new, experienced Indian doc. I didn't even have a chest full of air when I came out, which is my normal driving fear of this procedure. Completely painless. In and out. My anesthesiologist was even a cayts fan from Owensboro. SuPrep was, by far, the worst part... and it's not that bad aside from the horrible fake grape taste.

My dentists office recently hired a new dentist. She's young and blonde and smells incredible. I had a molar with an old filling that broke out a corner of the tooth. I could have sat in that chair another hour, not going to lie. She was nice.

However, for whatever reason, the last two times I've had to give blood at the lab, I've woken up on the floor or on a cot with nurses fanning me. I'm now terrified to give blood and I think it stems from fear of incompetent nurses/techs. I'm a hard stick anyway and when you combine that with a novice nurse, I get really nervous. Apparently, pass-out nervous.

Unless you're one of those sickos who do colonoscopies while awake, you're knocked out the whole time. So what's the big deal?

Passing kidney stones.

Being told by a ****** one night stand that you knocked her up and she wants to keep it.

Having to watch reruns of Billy Clyde era UK basketball games.

Apparently, it's still like this in the UK. I've read some crazy horror stories.

The issue isn't with the colonoscopy, it's the prep.

Drinking draino and shitting Bellagio rockets is quite unpleasant.
Had my first one last month. You're correct, the procedure itself was nothing; woke up after it was over, got dressed and went home.

The CRAP you have to drink is just awful, and of course you can't stray too far from the bathroom. However, I suppose it's worth it to have the peace of mind of knowing you don't have colon cancer.

I could probably come up with a hundred things worse if I wanted to give it a little thought. I never understood the fear. Take care of your teeth, then seeing a dentist is no big deal. I like having my teeth cleaned at the dentist's office twice a year.

The dentist was just an example of something most people don't want to do. Of course there are tons of worse things than going to the dentist.

NEVER expect the Paddock to "get it." Never. They will misconstrue and fail to miss the point every single time... then they'll find some semblance of moral high ground from which to point at others.

In this thread, the moral high ground somehow became dental hygiene. It's ******* amazing, really.

Take care of your teef and the dentist really isn't that bad. Cleaning, polishing and flossing in about a half hour. I find it relaxing.

(admittedly, haven't had a major dental procedure outside of a cavity, so..)
