anyone in the building could sense the lack of energy from the team.

I thought UM had no desire to be here after missing their first 10 shots. but NU lacked to capitilize. NU was up 13-6 and then UM made a run and went up 15-16

you could sense the deflation from NU but really it was the most quiet and disconnected i have seen the team play this year.

i left early today but last i saw on the scoreboard points in the paint was 36-21 or something like that. haven't looked at final stats but getting doubled up on points in the paint most on lay-ups and breakaways is never good

what was most interesting was I saw Michigan run 4 of the same play sets that NU runs

I don't think this is one of those games that you look at stats and drawn conclusions. We don't need to look at them to know they were terrible. Whoever watched the game knows they were.

For me it was about the deflation you mentioned. It just did not seem like a team that wanted to be there. Our guys look tired, casual, disengaged...

I had to make a concerted effort to keep paying attention. It did not even make me mad, just made me numb.

And, despite all this, today I am on the side of the ones defending the team. Because it happens. For as much as we can say tough losses harden players, it is also the case that they wear you down. And that's what it felt like. Kids worn down by fighting a lot but that still not being enough to get a win. So, for me, the work right now is more about how to make them believe in themselves and fight, than it is about X's and O's.

I thought this was a game to 80 points. Because MI plays fast, is fairly good at putting points on the board, not so good at preventing them. MI almost hit 80, we did not even come close.
