That's why I just can't get too excited. These teams are as low as they'll ever be and we are fighting for a winning record. They aren't going backwards from here, none of them. We're a non-football team in the SEC, and it will never change. I just wish every UK game was played before 3pm so I never wasted any nights on it.

UK has played three teams that had a winning record at the time we played them, UF, Alabama and UT. How did we do against winning teams?

UK football is just not worth the investment of time or money. It never will be.They never deliver when it's needed most. Continuous failure. There will be many come on here and say next year is the year. Next year this, next year that.
UK football is like the movie Groundhog Day. Stoops is a good coach, but not a good head coach. Winning 6 games and going to the Save-A-Lot will satisfy a lot of fans. They will believe next year will be even better. It won't. They will call people that make posts like this "Not true fans".
I expected a blow out today. I expect one against U of L. The best teams UK has played have all been blowouts, yet some fans will think this is progress. It's not. It's the same thing just with different players and coaches.

I DVR every UK Football game and start watching at about halftime, fast forwarding to each play, through commercials and halftime. It takes me about an hour and a half to get through it as I want my time mimimized following this garbage. The only time I watch them live are night games. I wish they were all day games, lol.

It wasn't a blowout today. I'm one of the biggest UK fans out there. But this is what happens when you're building a program. It would take Saban at least 3 years to be competitive here with what Stoops inherited. I don't think he's necessarily our savior, but I do think he is doing mostly the right things with the program. I know it's hard, but we as fans just need to be patient!

I see nothing that Mizzou has to build upon personally...same for Vandy.

USC is one I'm not so sure about. The new QB has helped them throw the ball but early on Ingram was having success with his feet...and they still have Muschamp as their head coach.

UT is losing a lot of early Butch Jones talented recruiting classes and the last few have been a step down.

I don't know if the SEC east is heading in any better direction to be honest.

"It wasn't a blowout today". Really? How so? 49-22 isn't a blowout? I know what the final was BTW.

This was supposed to be the best UT team in 20 years. They are already going backwards.

We must have been watching a different game. We were down 49-22 before scoring a few garbage time TDs. This was a blowout.
Late TD's were scored againt the starters not scrubs. I'm sure thats not going to fit into your agenda though

The bottom line is that I knew a long time before the game was over which team was going to win. You call it whatever you want. It's still a turd.

Some were saying it was over before it started or as soon as they tied it at seven. So because you knew means nothing. Read the game thread and see when it started!

Actually, being 27 points behind on the scoreboard means a lot.

Meanwhile, # 9 Auburn falls to UGA. After MSU beat A&M last week. Gotta win the games on your schedule.

UT and FL probably gonna win 9-10 games, not sure how they are the worst in a long time. Miss St, GA, and SC all likely bowl bound as well. 6-6 against 6 or 7 bowl teams is not 'sky is falling' bad.

Thank God we beat three of them, and played one to a standstill.

We're still not as good as UT and UF I guess. I'm as shocked as everyone else here about that as well.

Not going to pass judgement, but in all honestly being a bowl team in today's college football is not that big a deal. Beat three bad teams and go 3-5 in conference play and you are in.

The final score was really misleading. If you watched the game you'd have to agree. If Stoops had a brain in his head and any man things between his legs he might have gone for it on 4th and goal from the 1/2 yard line or just maybe get creative on occasion. Then we just may win a game we normally lose or at least say we're competitive with a straight face.

Far Stoops!

Interesting, considering that I would argue that it's absurd to fire him in a season where he makes a bowl.

That doesn't mean I can't be pessimistic about our future prospects. There are major warning signs we shouldn't ignore, but he has earned at least one more season.

By all accounts, as most of our team is back and he is recruiting well and hopefully the staff stays intact next season should be better

You do know Georgia beat Auburn worse than they beat us. Yeah, I know you can't go by that but still...

If you can't beat Dobbs you certainly won't beat Dormady...guy has a cannon and quite frankly should have played quite a bit this year...Butch Jones is an imbecile.

Hard to tell with transitive property. By that standard we either should have lost to South Carolina or beaten Tennessee. But I get your point.
