From where I sit, there's no way to know the answer to that. Hopefully, the players will get on board with Gran as OC.
I think the uncertainty at the QB position is probably a big deal, but I think the main worry was his job security. He's safe where he is currently.
I think thats why Mitch got involved. He could tell him he has two years to get it going, barring a complete disaster like we saw this year.

As I posted in another thread, what OC in his right mind would come into a situation with the QB position in the shape it is in, maybe he has been told more than is currently public knowledge about the QB's,maybe he really likes Hoak (Cincy offered)
Was wondering the samething thing, it is possible he got some info we don't know yet. Let's hope so and its something very good. Getting Hinshaw in the deal is HUGE

If we are going to start going by those standards we will lose half our posters.
I seriously doubt there is any connection. Towles has been transferring for a long time now.
If that happens it gets us back in the game. We get a look at some options in the spring and pushes Barker enough that he can't just coast into the starter spot this fall
No doubt Barker is the #1 guy in the spring, but his showing last fall doesn't do all that much to inspire confidence that he can get us where we have to go to keep from starting from near scratch after next season.
