You must be joking. They'll get killed in recruiting after making the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME?
It won’t kill them but they showed that they play in a 2nd tier conference. If you want to be the best, you compete with the best. You ain’t gonna find that at TCU. Of course, NIL will play into this but a few years ago, there was no question.

Would rather fail to compete with them in the title game than in a regular season conference game.

True but last night wasn’t a regular season game and there were no expectations for us to compete this year. TCU got tea bagged.

Obviously you would because that means you made the damn national title game as opposed to UK never making it or winning the SEC in our lifetimes (which is what is most likely to happen).

Would have to accept it....outside of the game, that would be a glorious day.
It's called baby steps. If you get to the game, you've made monumental progress as a program. Even with a drubbing it's a historic season. Now subsequent trips to the game, yeah, I'd expect to be more competitive.

Accept UK taking a 66-7 drubbing in a National Title game just for the sole fact we made it that far? Hell, I'd take a drubbing from Bama if it meant we made an SEC championship game at this point.
That's a great question, because look at all the negative energy surrounding TCU nationally right now. It's like everything they did great all season is forgotten. The media, the message boards, the talk shows, no one is saying anything good about TCU right now. Suddenly no one thinks TCU is legitimate... BUT, if they can string together two or three seasons in a row like this, then things turn positive and the impact of the beatdown is not so severe. Good question.

TCU is a good football team. But give them a SEC schedule, they look a lot like Kentucky in 2021 9 out of 10 years. A typical 9-3 team that just happen to go 12-1 this year.

There's no way a Stoops coached team would get bulldozed like that, especially with White as DC

We're gonna put it all together if Leary is healthy and we can protect him against legit competition beyond a limited short drop passing game. Our defense >>> 2022 TCU year in and year out now. Better offense will make our defense look even better.

Never seemed to hurt Ohio state/ Michigan/ Oklahoma / Notre Dame ect after getting drubbed in the BCS/playoffs so not sure where the poster thinks that.

The difference between us and TCU is TCU played decent to mediocre competition and found out against UGA that they aren’t what they believed they were.
UK on the other hand gets to play 3-5 teams next year maybe more that would’ve absolutely murdered TCU, and one of those teams just got done treating them like they were a grade school.
