I agree

But Barion has got to get more 50/50 balls. He had two more in music city bowl he just didn’t come up with that hit him and did not haul in

Key is the one to me that is the best. His hands are crazy good. He caught a tough over the middle in traffic wjtb guys hitting him as he reeled it in.

If the OL doesn’t have the ability to let pass plays develop and a quality QB to deliver the ball then it won’t matter how talented they are.

I agree on Key. I think Brown is extremely dangerous weapon, but I think he has some maturing to do. He let the poor QB play in the bowl game effect him.

Imo one of the top jobs for coen will be setting expectations for brown. No way should he have 16 targets in any game. No one should. We have too much talent on O.

Jmo but last year's staff (stoops included) mid way through the season panicked over the thought of him leaving and started over feeding him.

Barion Brown was a true freshman with no spring camp, he just turned 19 a few weeks ago. Of course he’s gonna need to mature. Dude had 50 catches, 600 yards and 4 TD as a rail thin 18 year old playing in the SEC. He’s naturally gonna get bigger and stronger with age and S&C program will boost him even more. The kid is special and many of you are sleeping on him.

Usually the improvement from freshman year to the next will be their best of their career. Young players right out of High School strength against upper classmen in most cases wanes in comparison. IMO add strength aids in their ability to get off the line of scrimmage and run better routes. Adding more talent all around them will be a advantage for the new OC to utilize. With the defense we have if we can average 24 to 30 points we will have a fantastic year.

Again, a reminder that Brown opened camp at about 160 pounds. He clearly needs to get stronger, develop stronger hands and run better routes. He currently has a hard time with press coverage and getting separation from DBs who hold him. If he's willing to put in the work he'll be elite.

Anxious to see incoming freshmen Porter and Anthony Brown.

On a replay, after the play was over, I saw where Brown head-butted an Iowa player. The Hawkeye showed admirable self restraint and didn’t retaliate. Apparently the refs didn’t see it in real time.

Yes, he has a lot of growing up to do. Plus, he really needs to get physically stronger as well.

I didn't see that, and I could be totally wrong his body language just showed frustration to me. He was getting roughed up and wasn't getting the greatest location when he was targeted. All of that leads to frustration foe a WR.

Was being manhandled by DBs with numerous holds and that was very frustrating to him. Pissing and moaning won't help him, S/C will. Hopefully some of the no-calls will go his way in the future. SEC stripes take great pleasure in "putting guys in their place."

That happens to fast guys who aren't very physical. DBs do whatever they can to throw them off their game. I thought he was clearly off, learn and grow from it.

Definitely needs to get stronger to withstand hits.

I think we have a lot of talent but are too young to be really good at the WR position next year. I hope I’m wrong, but I feel we need a big time, experienced WR in the portal to have a dynamic passing game.

Given the talent level, the O-line issues of this past season, the ease of transferring, NIL, etc, I view it as a very positive sign that all these guys are sticking around.

Our starters will be very good. Think you may be right on a portal guy because what is the chance these three receivers don't get hurt all season? We have Crowdus that played a little, Anthony and White that did not play and 4 frosh WR's coming in. So a soph and 6 frosh as the 2's and 3's. Would definitely like to see a veteran coming in. Can Cummings be effective as a wideout? Will have several good TE's again.

Brown is a star In the making. Yeah he had to matures but but that’s true of every freshman. He won plenty of 50:50 balls vs UGA. It’s about getting consistent with him. Dane is more consistent and Brown is more explosive but thankfully we have both

The WRs are very good. But can the OL block long enough to keep the QB upright so he can hit them? They couldn't this year.
