Duke just extended an offer to five-star senior Jaemyn Brakefield, a source told @Stockrisers.


Some people don't believe in conspiracy's i do. I follow recruiting and their seems to be a continued theme going on with U of L and these recruits. They seem to have U of L either 1 or 2 on their list then certain schools that were really not even in the picture all of a sudden make offers or are the main choice . Chris has his work cut out recruiting their is real hate against U of L out their fact!

I really believe we just have too many damn players. Our roster is stacked. If I'm 6'8 and see a 5* Samuel Williamson tucked on the roster knowing he won't be the first option, then Jaelyn Withers are tucked behind several players and may not see the court, I see too many obstacles to wither thru to get my touches. Don't forget the Irish Huck is tucked away as well. If I'm a guard at all, Good Lord, we have them tucked three deep. We just need to get a big man if possible and look forward to 2021 once the dust clears a bit.

I agree with you on the roster there is not a lot of room for incoming players. I think that is what the recruits look at. We have a loaded roster this year with some really good freshmen.

Guys these are recruits for 2020 and 2021 Samuel , Nwora, Fresh,Mchmon, Enoch ,Sutton will all be gone . Expect Williamson too test the waters going to be plenty of roster spots thats not even an issue whatsoever.

Five-star senior Jaemyn Brakefield was supposed to be visiting Michigan this weekend, but he tells me that he will RESCHEDULE that visit. He has no plans to make a college choice anytime soon.

It's obvious his camp is working on something with Duke. He might as well just go ahead and sign with them writing is on the wall.

"If " only two of them are not seniors . Those remaining guys are not of the talent that mack is attempting to bring in next year no where near.

Log jam of talent doesn't scare away players from Uk,Duke ,NC and Kansas .I prefer to have alpha dog players who look to take a roster spot away from someone that has equal or more talent.

We have one on roster that is Nwora he might be selfish but he is very confident.

I think David Johnson is a sleeper, Jay Scrubb was the best kid on the court in the scrimmage the other day, Perry will be a Senior and Nickelberry is a Wild Card. Only Scrubb is considered one and done. I don't see us getting a decent guard next year.

Just wait until the laws in Cali and everywhere go live. Adidas and Nike will have their net on every top 100 player. They’ll own the collegiate game.

When the Cards play Duke and Uk this year they really need to beat both these teams . Too show the recruits that played us whom the better team is.

Over the past year or so I’ve been talking to the coaching staff, so I knew right away when I got the offer that Duke is where I wanted to be. Ever since day one it’s been a dream of mine.

I’d always prayed that this would happen, and now that it has happened I can’t thank God enough.

I committed last night, and I released it today.

When Coach K called and offered me we had a long talk and I learned a lot in that talk alone. I knew that he was the coach that I would develop the most under. It was exactly the kind of call I thought it would be.

He’s truly a legend in every way.
I called coach and just told him that I knew that Duke was the school for me and I didn’t want to waste anyone else’s time.
He was really excited.
I could just tell that he was really genuine. He really cares for his players.
I’m on a group chat with all of the other commits Jeremy (Roach), Jalen (Johnson), D.J. (Steward) and Henry (Coleman), and I just went a picture of me in the Duke uniform!
They were all really excited.
We all feel like we can win a national championship!

I agree beating the best teams is a good recruiting tool. Most recruits want to go somewhere that they have the opportunity to play and have a chance to win a title.

So if Mack simply stops recruiting a 5 star that has indicated he wants pay for play, do you insinuate this is failed recruit if he goes to UNC like a certain recruit recently?

Curious, what is your ideal recruit target?

He's not failing in my eyes to recruit a kid we shouldn't be recruiting, unless Mack's oblivious to that and trying anyway. Five star and high-four star kids are a big risk...
