One of the things I found most interesting in the article - that may surprise many (but maybe not not surprise some who have followed certain posters over the years :) )

With all the wailing about decreased state funding (and that is, to a degree, a real thing - in PA and elsewhere) - the decreases in state funding, where present, aren't anywhere close to "explaining" the massive ramp up in tuition and fees.
(FWIW, she does a good job of footnoting and explaining the data)
