Team has no identity and no leader. A drop off is not unexpected given loss of JC and Dax, but how could this disaster not have been foreseen by Huggins and company? He definitely deserves criticism for the team tanking this badly when it's the same players minus 2.

This game shows why all the forum idiots who say this team is really talented but not well coached know anything about anything. Team of individuals and they are more than pathetic...including the "stars". At the same time, they are the players that Huggs recruited and is coaching so...the coaching staff, including Huggs, is pathetic as well. Suck and suck again. Maybe its time to pull all the scholarships and can the whole coaching staff including Huggs. This is a joke and can't be described otherwise.

Why this is truly sad, WVU is being embarrassed on National TV, so if you were a high level player, would you want to play at WVU. I actually thought when Huggins was hired that WVU Basketball would have a chance to win a NC. WVU just can't recruit and get top level talent. Something major has to change!

The players aren't talented enough to compete, but who would blame mediocre talent for accepting a scholarship to a P5 school when they'd best fit at a mid-major. I don't begrudge them for their performances. They're outmatched and should never have been put in that situation to begin with (ie, poor coaching aka Huggins).

If Sean McVay offers you a million dollars to suit up next week at linebacker and Gronkowski trucks over you for a game-winning TD no one would blame you, they'd blame McVay for making such a dumb decision.

The runner up to Mr. Basketball behind Jordan McCabe in Wisconsin is averaging about 15 ppg starting as a freshman for Kentucky. McCabe, Culver, Ahmad, Sags, legitimate recruits in a different system?

I think the young guys need to play the rest of the season purely for experience for next year. This year is lost. Need to let McCabe get into a groove or rhythm instead of pulling him out every time he makes a freshman mistake. Let them play through their mistakes.

Exactly. This is McCabes team in the future. Give that guy time and see....

McCabe is a career backup at best. He’s a mid major guard at best and wouldn’t be good at Marshall either. Please give up and get to reality. Doomes is a D2 guard. Harler D2. Knapper is a career backup at best. He will get better but not starting material. Haley is slow. McCabe is slow. Beetle is a good bench scorer.

Huggins can’t recruit guards. Good guards want nothing to do with Huggins. Lyons needs to get him retired.

Btw McCabe outscored Knapper. Find someone else to blow now

Knapper lights it up last game but gets no chance hardly today. Huggs is coaching Iike a dumbass too. No wonder good guards won’t play for him. Huggs has a bunch of D2 recruits on his roster. His fault. He recruited these D2 players cause he’s lazy and took the easy road. Now he’s losing badly. Time to retire.

Doomes redshirt was pulled because they don’t want him back next year. No need to worry about developing a player here that isn’t good enough. He’s a bad miss recruit. I told the board he wasn’t good enough last year when evaluating his film. Look that up. You won’t re post that cause I’m right.

I told the board Doomes was D2 level last year when watching his film. You won’t re post that. I predicted this. I’m right 90% of time.

Technically it’s same players minus 3 (Sags). So we did lose our best 3 players. But still I don’t think anyone (including Huggs) thought we’d be this bad!

Got to laugh how some of the forum talent clowns call every recruit the program savior...as if they had ever even touched a basketball lol. Huggs has signed a bunch of guys for this roster who grunt their way to the basket, throw it and hope, and sulk down the court when they don't follow their own miss.

Huggins recruited helpless D2 players cause he doesn’t like to beg or work to get a recruit. He took the easy, lazy road. Results show. Bad recruiting. He can’t recruit guards.

I never said Doomes would be good. I said he can only play if we press next year and will get better next year but that doesn’t say much. I said he’s athletic but can’t shoot or score. I said he could help more next year but that doesn’t mean he’s going to help or play much. He’s not the answer. I’ve continuously said that.

Huggs is going to have to start adjusting his coaching and recruiting philosophy if he is going to get anything "fixed". Without doing so, he's going to end up being one of the coaches that the game has left them behind.

It’s already left him behind that’s why he sucks every 4-5 years and can’t get past sweet 16 in a watered down college hoops. 3 of his last 7 years are going to be no NCAA tournament appearances. Totally unacceptable for a overpaid bozo coach. We didn’t even make NCAA tournament for 2 years in a row from 2012-2013 and 2013-2014. Before that in 2011-2012 they barely luckily got in on bubble and got beat in Pittsburgh 1st round by 80 points against Gonzaga. It was embarrassing and that 19-13 team had no business in NCAA tourney that year. A final 4 with Beliens recruits (Da Butler) and a practice facility and he can’t build on anything.

Huggs is back stinking the joint up. It smells bad. Time to retire the old man. He’s been passed up. He’s been washed up.
