WVU using same search firm as B12 used for Yormark

I like the idea of hiring a business minded person who can manage the new financial landscape of CFB. (And maybe someone with at least a 1st-yr finance student's understanding of setting up contract renewals and buyouts that benefit the school equally if not more.)
As long as they're not woke and we can move on from this player-led team fantasy, I'm good with it. Seems like a reputable company.
My only worry is Gee will specifically look for an AD who buys into the woke culture and caves to the fear of being shamed by insane people..... instead of just doing what it takes to be a winner. This AD is a huge hire for WVU. Another wrong one and we are hurting big time.
The only way WVU can be a winner is by throwing out the old good ole boy network and racist ideas and attracting the best talent in coaching and athletes.

I'd worry less about how woke someone is and more about if they are qualified to do the job. Shane didn't fail because he was woke (and is he? as I think he's a conservative), he failed because he made bad decisions that had nothing to do with his personal beliefs. The contract extension for NB has nothing to do with wokeness. If he was truly "woke", he also would have fallen all over himself to get NIL money for every student athlete. Stop worrying about wokeness for like 3 seconds! If that is your main qualification for our next AD, there's a good chance they'd suck too.
Obviously they have to be qualified. I am definitely worried about woke stuff because it literally destroys everything it touches, and we havent been the same since it has infected our program.

Racism and white entitlement infected the program and brought it to the low levels it’s at now. It destroys everything in the entire world. The program has declined to the sad state its in now because a do nothing unqualified coach who was losing was extended ( which never would have happened for a qualified coach of color- which of course WVU would never hire in the first place or consider.) and he continued to do nothing but lose- and the university can’t afford to buy out his contract and hire a qualified coach at the same time until the ridiculous buyout has been reduced.
Where did all these racists come from? They only want a good ole boy racist to be considered or hired no matter the qualifications or ability.
This is exactly why I don't want a woke AD or coach. This mentality is not only false, but its self defeating and dividing. Politics have no place in sports. Period
If politics truly have no place in sports, why are you pushing for a political stance in the hire. No woke, no demmy, no soft, no libby. C'mon man, you can't say you want no influence of politics while you rail on that the entire issue is a political stance by our coaches and we better only hire one way political thinkers.
How about we don't worry about politics at all and just hire the best damn FOOTBALL coach we can find.

Handouts for those who “ fit the culture” has ruined WVU athletics. Hampered second winningest coach ever at WVU as he had to keep getting “ WVU ties” instead of the best possible candidates for coaching. Brown and Lyons took this debacle to another level with a lifetime giveaway for an unqualified coach who has brought WVU football down to a level not seen for nearly 50 years.
Players leaving in droves from Basketball and Football illustrates the archaic “players must do and act as I say to match a certain cultural fit mode“ doesn’t fly anymore. Next should be message boards and social media- clean out the racist bigots and hatemongering trolls.
All necessary to restore WVU to a better place than right wing ideology and practice has dropped the program to.

If politics had no place in sports Neal Brown wouldn't have marched down high street to support blm and posed for the cameras. Wvu wouldn't have fired the only good thing neal had goin for him, vic koenning for hurting a woke high school kids feelings with his personal opinion. Wvu wouldn't have the diversity committee Shane put in place. Since all that happened, we've done nothing but get worse. And this new player led philosophy is definitely more failing woke garbage. We were never like this before and we had no issues. So let's get away from it and focus on winning in wvu sports.

BTW, I awas a huge Calvin fan and still think he got little respect for the Fiesta W. We won because of his game plan. He did everything but give a speech. Blame PW for the BS hire.
