Averages 10 YPC yesterday and gets two touches in the second half.

I get that Frost does not know what he’s doing with the play calling but Held and his musical chairs at RB is right up there with the other band of idiots on the offensive side.

I hope the next coach can convince Yant to stay. If he continues to hit up the weight room he appears to have next level talent.

I'm starting to wonder if that thread regarding him intentionally throwing games doesn't have some truth to it. Because I noticed the same thing. And I've never coached football. And I haven't played since high school.

And my elementary-level observations aren't limited to just his handling of Yant. And my elementary-level observations aren't limited to just yesterday's game. Or even this season.

He probably whiffed a pass block or went the wrong way on a play. But hey, four INTs don't get you benched.

I haven't watched the tape yet, but I think it was the first series of the second half we ran and an unblocked defender blew it up for a 4 yard loss. I knew right then we would wet our pants on the running game. But then, to be fair, their halftime adjustment seemed to be to cover the wides with man, leave a safety back a little bit, and totally load the box. Once again, the defense dared us to throw, and we all saw how that worked out.

Held gives Frost the #1 and #2, and then Frost decides what to do, or Lubick does. I don't think Held is involved with any of that. Held did recruit Yant, so there is that.

You guys bashing on Held are barking up the wrong tree.

Yant ran the wrong way on one handoff and turned a nice potential gain into a 2-yarder, then on the very next play, ignored a seam where he could have easily cut upfield for a few more yards, but instead tried to stretch the play outside and lost yards. Kind of frustrating to be sure, but the inconsistent accountability as mentioned makes no sense. More reps would probably help him.

I wonder if Yant has great practices too?

He definitely missed some holes.

Imagine that dude in an Iowa Wisconsin style offense (which is what we should be running if not a more triple option oriented offense under center). I could see 1000+ yards and potential all conference if not all American...

They're the same people who think changing offensive assistants will make the offense turn out to look any different. They completely forgot we literally changed offensive coordinators 2 years ago but since it's all Frost no one noticed anyways

Yant has the look and combination of strength, speed and talent to be the best RB since LP. Needs to get more reps and speed
