Alex wrestles late tonight at 79 kg. He's in a 6 man bracket split into 2 pools. Flo is streaming. Of note, both days are scratch weight - no more 2 kg allowance on day 2. Zain Retherford also wrestles tonight.

Gilman was pulled into repechage and will wrestle again tomorrow. He won his first match and then was pinned by the Russian that beat Daton at Cadet Worlds in 2015. That was the "phantom" fleeing the hold call match. Jason Chamberlain was also pulled into repechage. Zane Richards, James Green, Cory Clark, and Joe Colon were eliminated.

I think he beat the Russian that he lost to in the finals of 2013 Junior World Championships.

AD loses a close one 5-3 to the returning Yarygin champ (who beat Dake). I think he will wrestle for bronze now.

I thought Alex had made the finals against Gadzhimagomedov, but it was the semis. So yeah, he does go for bronze. Bummer. I think that Russian beat Dake at the Yurygin, but then Dake beat him at Worlds.

Gilman won bronze. Retherford was eliminated.

6-man bracket, they divided it into 2 pools of 3 wrestlers each and did a round-robin. Top 2 in each pool advanced to the semis (Ringer and Zaseev advanced out of one pool, Ramazanov and Gadzhimagomedov out of the other), losers in the semis meet for bronze. The final at that weight is also a rematch from a round-robin battle.

Snyder loses early. Crazy. It appears AD lost to #2 ranked wrestler in world in semis. Not the worst thing to happen however I think that guy lost in pool to someone else. Perhaps he wins tonight to avenge earlier loss
