One game left in the regular season and we are exactly who our record says we are. We aren't "so lucky" to be where we are, we're not "so much better" than ouor record. We totally own it. The next two games determine whether or not we dance. And that's us.

Well, I'd still argue that we're 1 win better than our record says we are and if we had that OSU game in the win column, we would be talking about being locked into at least a 9 seed regardless of what happens tomorrow.

They are so much better with Mawot. Oh well. Let's try to limp in. Sucks that if Rutgers loses, the OSU debacle, as I predicted on this board and on Knightline when it happened, will cost us bid and end our NCAA streak.

Before the season, I would have signed up to have 1 game left and be in the hunt to make the NCAAs.

Without Ron & Geo, I wasn't sure where the scoring would come from.

To be fair, I'm still not certain...

Palmquist! :) Big game coming! Well, who knows, but I like him a lot off bench.

I think the Minnesota debacle was worse. At least that was in our control not the refs. You can’t melt away a 10 point lead in 60 seconds without a lot of things going wrong.

In the remaining time the universe has left, please don't ever associate, in any context, the phrase "we are" with RU.

Paging @MrsScrew for a second opinion.

This shouldn't even have to be said. It is in the DNA of every true Rutgers fan to know we don't use that phrase in any context in relation to Rutgers.
We also know, that the come back to hearing that phrase is "U"

Not that it will make you feel any better
St Johns at sixth ranked Marquette yesterday

Marquette led by 10 with 36 seconds to play

And St Johns wound up missing a free throw that would have tied it up with 2 seconds left

Any complaints about that screwup get obliterated by losing a 10 point lead in in 70 seconds

No, they don't. They're independent events and both are valid. We got effed and we had an epic meltdown the other night.

I don't even like that comeback, as it assumes they get to set the stage. I so abhor "we are" not because it is associated with PSU, but because it is so manifestly uncreative. Even in a sea of relatively uncreative college chants and expressions (it's not poetry, after all), theirs is reminiscent of two-year-olds when they realize they are separate from the rest of the world and begin developing a sense of self, bringing about years of declarations of "MINE! MINE! MINE!" These chant-like declarations require a response from adults until the kid learns to share and outgrows the tendency, but PSU never got the memo. Sofa king annoying.

Wrong. It is what it is. We lost at Minnesota but we won at OSU period. The OSU win shows up as a loss in our record. It should have been corrected by the league. We should be 19-11 and in the tournament.
