You can forget closing PSU satellite campuses.

The Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) must be preserved.

I didn’t know there was such a thing, but Neeli better know all about it.

This begs an important question: Does University Park have the #1 football program in the PSUAC? 😞

Ahh yes, basically D4 athletics. Some programs are pretty good and could compete well with D3 but many of these teams are only there to increase enrollment. I've had some pretty weird signing days for players who sign to play at these campuses. They and their parents swear they are playing at the main campus and getting a full ride to do so.

A lot of schools rely on their athletic teams to keep up enrollment.

Welding? Tsk tsk......They have a Brewing and Fermentation Crew at PC.
For $18K a year (just sign here kid, low interest - it will be like an electric bill...) I hope the kids aren't billed for sampling the product.

DI & DII schools had freshman basketball teams until the mid 70s. Many commonwealth campuses played their OOC schedule against those freshman teams. I remember playing against teams like Gettysburg & Delaware. We got sneakers, sweats, and $5 for meals on road trips but sadly no NIL.

My friend played football for the then Stevens Trade in Lancaster. They played PSU freshman team in the then called Beaver Stadium. It was the highlight of his football career. Meanwhile, I was slugging away trying to make $500 per trimester tuition payments at Berks Campus.
