I don't have a hatred, rather a lack of understanding of those that like to call others "Hitler" or a "Fascist" because it makes them feel better about themselves.
I was referring to the actual Hitler. We can all agree on hating him, I think.

Be that as it may, I’d hate to be judged on something that, as G H Hardy said about his own mathematical works: “…makes, directly or indirectly, for good or ill, not the least difference to the amenity of the world.”
I was a total misfit in high school and ineptly made it really hard for others to be my friend. Totally clueless. I was never bullied but it was an unfair situation for everybody. The kid across the street, we grew up together and he has always stood by me. We’ve kept in good touch. He hated Franklin, would send me scathing texts. That’s something to put aside, you have to try to live with grace.

I hate people usually on how they have treated me. When I become the target, or incidental damage, of their actions and attitudes - then it turns to hate. Former bosses and former girlfriends come to mind.

edit - I also hate the Freeh Stooges and those that are/were associated with them. F them all to hell.

Plenty of folks think he is just super-duper. Plenty thought that back in his day, too.

That's tragically awful to many of us, but it's true.

Regardless, what does it say about *the royal you* if you hate ... oh, I don't know ... liars, thieves, bullies, people who don't return their carts to either the store or a corral area, people who wear jorts, etc.?

Correct. He was a person - an evil person. Like Pol Pot evil. How he became a noun that is used to describe anyone we don't like just escapes me though.

It escapes you because it isn't true. It's used to describe specific people and specific actions/beliefs. But try to keep this non-political, if you're capable.
