In other words, who do you least want to win the championship, and who do you most want to win?

I'll spot you one: Duke. And 16 is Kentucky of course, (except for our Troll Brigade who hang around like a migraine.)

Here's my list:
1. Duke. Please God. Do not let this happen.
2. Arkansas. Ugh. Maybe Duke isn't the worst option.
3. Auburn. Seriously can't stand Bruce Pearl.
4. Tennessee. It is comical that after 110 years of pretending to matter, zero Final Fours. Keep it up, guys.
5. Michigan State. An "Elite" with two titles? Let's keep it that way.
6. Arizona. Am I over 1997? No, I am not.
7. Alabama. Coach is a jerk. A taste of real success will not improve him.
8. Florida. Would be higher but older daughter went there.
9. Michigan. I enjoy the Big Ten having one title for the ENTIRE CONFERENCE since the 1980s. Keep up the good work guys.
10. Texas Tech -- Meh. Just beat Arkansas.
11. Maryland. Would be higher but wife and younger daughter went there.
12. Purdue. Just to send the Hoosiers into deep depression.
13. Houston. I feel like they've been owed one since 1983 and NC State
14. Ole Miss. Why not? Lots of pretty women in Oxford.
15. BYU. I had an ex-girlfriend from there. What they say about Mormon women is true.
16. Kentucky. What a dream to win it in Pope's first year, with all the challenges. Hey, if Tubby can do it...

As long as Duke doesn’t win, I won’t be that upset regardless of who else. Would I enjoy Tenn or Ark winning? No, but those programs have zilch for an all-time resume. Duke is the last big dog left and sadly I don’t see how they lose

No Duke or Arkansas. Tough to say who is worse between the two. Probably Duke...maybe. If we don't win I wouldn't mind Houston winning. They deserve one.

One game at a time, hope we guard the 3 and get scrappy out there....

Keep our guys determined to play well.

I almost feel like the early parts of illinois game, amari had some trouble playing....

I'd sub garrison in for him, but then he has to take those open 3's??? No way.

I'm pretty similar to most of you. Please don't let it be:

1. Duke
2. Arkansas

If we can't win, my choices are:

1. Purdue
2. Houston

Both of them solely to extend the misery of our Hoosier neighbors to the north.

Although now that I think of it, since they passed on Dusty May last year, seeing Michigan win it all would be pretty hilarious as well.

Most important is Ky at #16 on this list. After that Duke @ #1 and then Ark, Tenn, Auburn, FL....then I lose interest.

These teams sort into tiers for me, I’ll do my list that way.

Duke, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Ole Miss would be my worst four options. First three should be obvious, and Beard is a scumbag who I don’t want to see succeed.

Next tier includes Auburn, Alabama, and Florida. Auburn generally doesn’t bother me but I really dislike this team, similar with Alabama, and Florida is Florida.

Michigan, Purdue, BYU are the next tier. I’m just lukewarm on Michigan, Purdue would be annoying because they’re seeded lower than us in the same region, and BYU I think would kick off a really annoying narrative about Coach Pope that I’m not interested in hearing.

Michigan State, Arizona, Texas Tech, Houston. None of these teams bother me and I’d be fine with any of them winning.

Maryland gets their own tier. I was born in Maryland and grew up on Terps basketball. Think Lonnie Baxter era. They’re my number two team only behind Kentucky. Crab Five 🦀 🦀 🦀 🦀 🦀

Yes ... but Tubby was coaching a team that Pitino put together, and Pitino himself coached some of the players on the 1998 team for 2-3 years before handing them off to Tubby. Respectfully ... Tubby didn't "do it" in 1998.

This is easy for me. I don't care about rivalries. I care about records. Anyone with multiple NCAA titles I want to lose. So, Duke, Florida, Michigan State, and Arizona are at the top of the list. If UK doesn't win, I'd like to see an SEC team win it, preferably not Tennessee or Arkansas. And if not an SEC team, then any team with one or zero titles.

Duke and Arkansas. I’ll be upset if one of those two wins it all.

Duke because it’s Duke.

Arkansas, because Cal will be insufferable if he wins it all again, no thank you..

The rest I’m okay with them winning.

If UK doesn’t win it all, I’m hoping for Houston. I have felt bad for that program ever since the ‘83 title game. Watching that shot replayed every March has to be worse for them than us watching the Laettner shot.

Tennessee #1 by far. Don’t want them to ever make a final 4 much less a title
Duke #2
Arkansas #3

After those I don’t really care who wins it if it isn’t UK

Agree 100%. Of course I want UK to win over all others. But not looking ahead, just want to see UK beat UT for the 3rd time. After that we take it one game at a time.

Duke, Ark, and Tenn are the top 3 for me. Would be awful to see any of those win it all.

If UK can’t win, I’d be fine with Houston and Sampson.
Feel like UT needs to be at the top of the list by default right now since they are who we play next. Bout obviously Duke and Arkansas are 1A and 1B right now too.
