I was watching the first few minutes of the Louisville/NC State game. UL leads 17 to 0 in the first quarter. They are really good and they play exciting football. I can't watch any more. Obviously, me pulling against them is not working

NC St is getting ran through the wood chipper today. You knew this was coming after how poorly UL played last week and how close NC St played Clemson. It was just a perfect storm and the Wolfpack were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Agree 100%. UL is really good but NC State is sleepwalking. I get the perfect storm scenario but NC State looks like they couldn't care less about playing football today.

Yep. Best offense in the nation with the best QB equals really good.

Requires a great defensive effort(Clemson) to beat them but they will still get lots of yards.

UL gained 244 yards in first quarter. NC state had minus 1 yard. Cards lead 20 to 0 with 13 minutes left in first half.

State qb is pure awful.

UL will win by 50 today.

Jackson has 270 yards and 2 TDS plus one rushing TD. In the 1st half. Mercy.

Just give him the trophy and save the suspense.

Louisville is really good. The best team in their conference.

If UofL played Clemson at home, they win by double digits. They were 1 yard away from winning @ Clemson... And I still don't think Clemson has played remotely close to the level they played against UofL any other time this season.

This is murder. 41-0 in the 2nd quarter, and UofL just blocks a punt. Setup in the red zone again.

If they score here, I play Lamar maybe HALF of the 3rd quarter.

People think NC State is good because....?

UL is damn good. Clemson is not consistently good. Notre Dame is not good.

UofL is for real, but NC State has a Clemson hang over IMO.

Announcers said Jackson has broken UofL all time TD record for QBs today - I think that's combined throwing and running. The Jackson/Watson Heisman comparisons will continue but from my seat Jackson appears to be the clear winner so far.

In no way is Lamar Jackson a gauranteed heisman winner. I believe UL is severely overrated, they're a team that IMO hasn't beaten anyone good this year (I 100% expect FSU to finish season unranked). And if that happens to where they finish season with zero wins vs ranked teams, then how in the world could a QB for a team with zero wins over ranked teams win the heisman? I just think a team like Clemson will go undefeated AND have wins vs ranked teams which could win someone like Watson the Heisman. Lamar is the front runner right now. But I just don't see how a player on a team with no wins vs ranked teams could win the heisman (that's how it will shape up if FSU finishes unranked). And don't even get me started with playoff talk. You can't go to a playoff with zero wins vs ranked teams I'm sorry it just doesn't work that way.

He is the first QB in ACC history with 15 rushing and 15 passing TDs. He will smash that record if he stays healthy.

Anyone thinking Jackson is not the Heisman front runner is silly. I know it's UL folks but geez. He's the best in the nation.

Clemson and UofL play in the same division of the same conference. Clemson's toughest OOC opponent is #22 Auburn, UofL's is #11 Houston. There's virtually no difference in their SOS. I doubt that the fact that Clemson beat UofL at home by 6 would make any different in who get's the Heisman.

What I think (right now):

UL deserves to be in the Final Four
Jackson deserves the Heisman
They will blow us right out of the freakin' stadium
Petrino is an awful human being, but one hell of a football coach

Agree about Jackson. No way about playoff. See the L column. Clemson is not a great team.

They are definitely a very good football team. I know everyone on here hates them, but you can tell just by watching them play. Jackson is a special player and Petrino is a hell of a coach. I still say they are going to have to have some serious help to make a playoff berth.

Our fate unless we win the ACC is the same as Ohio State last year...

Ummm . . . don't know about that. SEC and Big 10 winner will be locks. After that, Washington (assuming they go undefeated) is also probably a lock, as is Clemson if they are undefeated, but if Clemson or Washington lose, then OSU-Michigan loser, ACC champ, UL-Houston winner, will all have arguments.

I agree. If you guys win out convincingly, and a few teams in front of you drop a couple... You guys are in the conversation. Michigan playing OSU helps. I don see Washington or Alabama dropping a game, so it looks like your fighting for 2 out of the 4 spots left. It's not impossible, but like i said its an outside shot.
