I know there have been a few posts about low-post centers in the NBA and Edey. Last game he had 28 points on 11-12 shooting, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. That’s a pretty great stat line for any player. He also hit a 3. He will have a nice NBA career if he stays healthy.

How is that possible without the great Braden Smith to feed him the ball?

Thanks for starting a dedicated thread.
I saw that box score the other day and imagined a beanpole trying to keep him from scoring.

How was his defense outside the stats? I notice they lost the game.

I didn’t watch the game but I think he had the best plus minus on the team. I think you will settle for mediocre defense with those stats.

He certainly has come a long way from the time when most people didn’t think his game would translate to the NBA. I thought he would come off the bench a couple of years ago.

Didn't all the experts say the same thing about Jalen Brunson when started in the nba???

Nice call. I doubted he’d be this good this quickly but he looks like the Great Wall of Canada tonight versus the Warriors.

Edey’s a unicorn in his own right. Hoping to watch many battles between him & Wemby. 🏀

He had a ton of turnovers, though. Definitely looked frazzled on offense. They swarmed him a lot and he struggled to get his shot off. But he’s still a lot bigger than everybody else on the floor.

Great game. The level of play is so much higher than college. And they played defense. Curry is the greatest shooter of all time and it’s not even close. I wish he were on my team.

And it was great seeing a smiling Pat Spencer on the bench. How cool for him. What an amazing and truly unique journey.
